Super senior Dan D’Agostini won 4 consecutive matches at 197 lbs before losing a razor close match in the finals 3-2.
Junior Keegan Connelly won 2 matches in the winners bracket and 2 matches in the consolation bracket at 285 lbs.
The Royals had a few team members make some noise at 174 lbs. Freshman Justin Weimer lead the way with 3 victories. Aidan McNally and Liam Gallagher each posted 1 win, as well.
At 165 lbs senior Kevin Merle and Kyle Shaffer both won bouts for the Royals.
Merle lost his first bout, but bounced back nicely for a few wins before falling to the same opponent again.
Shaffer lost his first match as well, but picked up 2 pins before losing to his teammate.
At 125 lbs, freshman Matt Murawski posted an impressive 4 victories in his college debut.
At 133 lbs, his fellow training partner AJ Sortino won 2 matches in his debut.
Congratulations to Dan D’Agostini and Keegan Connelly for placing at the Ned McGinley invitational yesterday. Dan took 2nd at 197 lbs and Keegan took 6th at 285 lbs.
