We're one Tzolis injury away from having a serious problem at LW. Eze can operate there, but he doesn't offer the repeated 1v1 threat, high-intensity running or defensive discipline Arteta demands from that role.
Arteta can see it. The squad has quality, but the balance on that left side still isn't right.
Expect Arsenal to try and address it in January
Gary O'Neil on Arsenal and Max Dowman:
"I’ve definitely not had a 16-year-old as good as Max Dowman around my group! I think he's in a great spot. He's got one of the best coaches around. Arsenal are one of my favourite teams to watch and to study, for the work that Mikel's done there. It's a very humble team as well, there's no superstars in it, there's no one that doesn't get their work done." 👏
"For me, David Raya sits in the number one spot."

It’s obvious Gyökeres has mentally checked out of the club after everything that happened with the constant transfer links throughout the summer, there’s clearly a rift between him and Arteta.
I’ve never seen this type of body language from him since he joined the club.
Last season, you could clearly see how high his spirits were. Even when things didn’t go his way, he kept trying and fighting.
This season is entirely different. He looks totally disinterested.
The best solution for both parties is to part ways in January.
Very disappointed by Eze and Gyökeres tonight.
Opportunity for them to feast in attack (Madueke and Dowman did just that) but they just didn’t seem up for it. Kai and Tzolis are the clear starters at the moment.
Lukas Graham has withdrawn from Ed Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Palestine and Macklemore:
“We should be able to speak about war, about civilians being killed, about children who deserve to grow up. Wherever they live. Whatever flag flies over them. (...) Money doesn't give you the right to own the conversation. Nobody's bank balance should decide who gets to speak or which suffering we're allowed to acknowledge.”
