@garyswan2 Certainly a big jump from 5 to 4 tactically and the need to be able to react, change up systems and style to suit and react to the opposition much more. Teams changed up at the half after a proper scrap in first halves!

Continuing on from the look at last season stats.

71% of FH we would win or draw, but that dropped to 50% in the SH!

We only conceded 20 goals in FH but would conceded more than double that in SH!

45-60 minutes a crucial area this season to improve on to gain more wins.

@mark_seekings @garyswan2 Yup there is a lot of potential there for many more goals from him this season that’s for sure. Sort out the second half struggles and some threat from the bench will go a long way!

Already we have:

49% of last years starts returning.
47% of the goals returning.
46% of the assists returning.

Many of the guys in their early twenties still.

Added a player with 700+ games of higher level experience and loved by every club it seems!

@mark_seekings @garyswan2 Darlo only started 16 games at either 9 or 10 (plus a full half at Long Eaton) and had 7 goals from those.

@garyswan2 Yup still a couple key pieces to try and get to return then it becomes the hunt to add those players who can improve the team (still very early on as some teams not announced a thing).

Honestly, fix that second half struggles would be just as big as first halves we did well!

We are not even out of May yet!

We had the lowest number of players used in our league last year, so keeping the core group together was vital and then adding key additions had to be the aim!
