With Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act gutted, the U.S. could move "away from its current system toward something that could give us fair political representation."
Options include proportional representation & ranked choice voting.
Yesterday, voters in Berwyn Heights, MD said YES to exploring ranked choice voting for Town Council elections – with 76% in favor!
It’s a strong message from voters that they support improving their elections.
Congratulations to @rcvformaryland for their hard work!

It is obviously time to move past the antiquated single-member district system that makes racial and political gerrymandering possible and support proportional representation for the United States.
