Know what to post next - and whether it worked.
We're building it inside Claude: reports that read your channels against your goals, draft in your voice, and remember what you tried.
Your next post starts from what worked.
"how long until posting actually works?"
went through five years of a successful founder x profile. the honest timeline:
- 18 months of posting (13 to 16 likes a post) was pretty much flat the whole way
then he changed what the posts were about and two months later his typical post went from 16 likes to 94.
about a year after that, 4.9m views a month
the inflection wasn't from posting more, it was from experimenting and changing the subject until he hit something that resonated.
consistency compounds over time until you find something you can exploit.
if you're a founder on X, this audit takes five minutes and the result will probably annoy you.
we've run it on several founder accounts. none of them had a single product post in its top ten.
paste your last 50-100 posts with their view counts into claude, with this:
—
tag each post: ME (something that happened to me or my own experience) / PRODUCT (about the thing i sell) / INDUSTRY (a take on tools, news, the field) / OFF-TOPIC (personal, unrelated)
then: median views per tag, not average.
then: list my top 10 posts and their tags.
then: tell me which tag is missing from the top 10.
be blunt. if a tag has fewer than 3 posts, say the sample is too small.
—
the objection this raises: "i don't have money milestones or a dramatic journey."
you don't need either. what counts as a post about you:
- the decision you made this week, and what you gave up to make it
- the thing you tried that didn't work, with the number attached
- what you cut, and why it was hard
- what you believed a month ago that turned out to be wrong
the boring or flat number you're at right now, even if it's zero.
none of those require revenue. all of them have a person in them with something at stake. that's all you need.
just analyzed 1,334 posts from a founder under 100K followers, going back five years.
interestingly, not one of their top 50 posts is about their products.
straight up 0 for 50, and product posts are the worst performers (at least 188 of them)
here's where their reach actually comes from, sorted by what the post is about:
- their own money and journey - 261 posts, 6,026 view average
- their personal life, completely off-topic - 85 posts, 3,406 view average
- takes on the industry and tools - 799 posts, 2,903 view average
their product posts though - 188 posts, 2,830 view average
posts about themselves get roughly double the reach of posts about the thing they sell.
if you're doing founder-led marketing, analyze your last 100 posts and see how many of them belong to your product instead of being about you?
replies are the easiest way to reach customers.
our entire reply strategy:
1. search the keywords your buyers use, not the ones your product uses
2. skip x posts over 1,000 views - those threads are already full
3. leave one thoughtful reply: an answer, a number, or a real question. never "great post"
what we've noticed: under 1,000 views, people tend to reply back, and even more so if you're not a brand account.
how many founders do you know that:
- post consistently
- knows which posts worked, and why
- would bet money on their next one
we're building a tool to help solve that. guide on how to get started w/ founder led marketing below 👇
quick learnings from building in public (from 0).
threw up a landing page + x to see if there's immediate demand. minimal traction. to be expected tbh, so what's next?
the most important questions to tackle IMO:
- is there demand (probably)
- is the positioning/messaging ok (very questionable)
- how to crack awareness (if i crack this, then i can better validate above)
so - how do i crack awareness when i don't have existing reach or distribution?
for now, i think the key here is to put together some very useful resources that appeals to customers i'm targeting, and use that to gather clicks, provide value and hopefully sell a good solution (@upgradetoai)
plan to get an MVP of that resource up-and-running soon will keep you guys posted.

there's a new kind of viral website going around that captures attention to make $$$ from day one.
there's no product and IMO it's the purest form of "distribution is the moat"
here's how the mechanics work 👇
1. build a website worth looking at (ex: canivibecodeit - a website that lets you quickly look up SaaS and lets you know if you can easily vibecode it and how much money you'd save by doing so)
2. post it on X
3. website traffic turns the page into valuable ad space
4. sell the ad space, via auction or fixed slot
step 4 isn't guaranteed cause you still have to build something people want to click to and advertisers want to sell on. which is why i think most of these copycats won't raise a single dollar.
i think canivibecodeit is worth studying because it's a directory of 1,093 SaaS tools and let's you know right away if you can replace it with AI without having to burn tokens. pretty useful.
they've already sold 10/10 ad slots for August, and already sold 4/10 for September's. they're currently $2.5K a piece 🤯
