L6th listened to a close text analysis of the Stonehenge extract in ‘Tess’ with Miss Kinmond, before taking part in a guided meditation by Miss Abdul-Karim.
Thank you to Mr DuPont who gave a fascinating talk on the work of Georges Perec. We were particularly astounded to hear about his novel entirely written without the letter ‘e’!
Flecker Society reconvened this evening to discuss our holiday read: ‘As I Lay Dying’. We enjoyed discussing the fragmented narrative form and contextual links to ‘Streetcar’.
Yesterday's Routh demonstrated what our school community is all about - friendship, sportsmanship, achievement and fun.
The sun was shining down on the Upper as pupils and staff ran across the glorious Rutland countryside, with the winner crossing the line at 30:21:20.
