Whoever receives the piece of cake with the charm in it, becomes king or queen for the day and they wear a special crown. Our cake was wooden - not quite as tasty but the pupils still enjoyed it!
This week, Lower School and 4th form pupils have been learning about La Fête des Rois in their French lessons - a lovely French tradition which celebrates Epiphany on January 6th. Bakers sell the traditional 'Galette des Rois which contains a figurine.
Today, A level French students took part in an excellent interactive webinar about their set film La Haine. This is a follow up from their study day in London last November - happy memories! Thank you @BFI for the excellent resources which will help us prepare for essay writing.

On Saturday 20 pupils from Les Maisons de l’Education de la Légion d’Honneur (MELH) will be travelling from Paris to Uppingham. We have a long-standing relationship with MELH. A level French and DELF students are very much looking forward to meeting their pen-friends.

This week, Uppingham L5 and U5 French pupils are preparing for their new exchange with the Collège Charles De Foucauld in Neuilly sur Seine. They will exchange video clips with the French pupils to introduce themselves and our school.
