I agree that being a fan doesnโt mean praising everything.
My issue is that I constantly see people comparing her to Tate, Beyoncรฉ, Rihanna and other Western pop stars, then getting frustrated when she doesnโt follow the exact same path.
Tyla is a South African artist. Part of what makes her special is that sheโs bringing her own culture, influences and identity into pop music.
Sometimes it feels like some people want her to become a generic Western pop star in order to satisfy a certain audience, when the whole reason she stood out in the first place was because she wasnโt that.
Wanting growth is fair. Wanting her to erase what makes her unique isnโt
@Ayras_Starr ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ this is the most delusional take please. Ayrra is talented but she can never be Beyonce, she can't even put in half the amount of effort Bey puts in her craft, her performances etc. lets not disrespect our elders in the name of delusion.
@CnManicPixie Twitter is not a real place. In real life, bilingual or multilingual people will switch in between languages when speaking. Being multilingual means you might have a language that is your comfortable language of expression and, and people code-switch depending on the audience.
@BizzyBee56 Tyla is a coloured South African. Coloured people are a part of South africa. She s representing her country and her people. You cannot counter Xenophobia with racism, all are acts of hate. Grow the fuvk up.
@BabesweHunters Yaa no, your takes are dizzy lately. Anyway to answer miss girl, she has cracked the code team racho harizive zvarinoda, best thing is to do is stay true to yourself, when you meet the right one you wont even need to explain yourself. X is not real life.
@Orisunmibairemi Her baby, her account , her rules. Have yours and keep it hidden till kingdom come. We can't police what other people do with their kids, what will strangers do with the babies face? Bewitch her? Steal it?
