As a Liverpool supporter, I have mixed feelings.. I do have some sympathy for Slot, especially about the timing of this. But I’m concerned Iraola is a massive gamble. Managers that “do well with a small club” rarely make the jump and succeed in the Prem.

Is he better than Alonso, who we’ve now missed the boat on? Could we not pull a proven winner like Enrique or Ancelotti etc. Iraola seems the “cheap” option.. if he fails, disposable income some sense. Perhaps its a gamble worth taking at this point - no confidence Slot would

@Messenger1977 Change nothing else this year, except put Diaz in for Gakpo, and we’d have finished comfortably 3rd I think.

@Messenger1977 I can’t really see how Slot is going to change us in the off-season.. maybe if we buy a proper defensive midfielder, and another pair of fullbacks.. (OK, maybe Frimpong can improve with fewer injuries and a longer run of games) and a fit Isak perhaps.

@Messenger1977 What we’ve missed most is Diaz lead pressure when we need to win it back. He was a menace. And Trent’s vision. Robbo should have started every game he was fit for.

@Messenger1977 MacAllister - been rubbish 90% of the time. Trying to win freekicks instead of passing. Grav, good moments, but doesn’t react fast enough. Sboz - best, but even he misses the attacking pass too often when its on. Young Rio - promise, but needs to kick on next season.

@Messenger1977 with the ball, the spaces are all wrong. distances get too big too often. no-one plays the ball in when attackers are making runs (except salah when he’s on) . Gakpo has the positional sense of a lemon. Wirtz often forgets how to kick a ball.

@Messenger1977 But everything is so wrong the way we play.. too passive, slow to react, terrible at pressing as a unit, not picking up runners. Slots not been able to correct it in a full season.

@Messenger1977 It’s a mixture of player losing form, new players not adapting, Injuries, and the Jota loss all taking their share. Slot’s just not really been able to deal with it. But he’s not using the squad well enough for me.

@InsaneMegaCD As much as I love Virtua Racing, and have done since it came out, I wish they’d sorted out those sudden changes in camera pitch. They do seem worse on switch than I remember in the arcade, maybe the interpolation wasn’t changed going to 60fps?

@gironachos @obliterat1on Sorry, as I’m flat out on SSC at the moment, I’ve bot been able to debug this. I will soon be working on iOS on my Mac so I’ll look at it then.
