@omgsidewalks Money is a ledger. A ledger for goods and services voluntarily purchased and rendered. If you didn’t have a government overspending then your grandparents efforts would hold the same value today as it did then. Think about it.
Yeah I agree 100%! The more money the state has the better the outcome for everyone so let’s ask the guys who fund 30% of the annual budget to give a little bit (or a lot?) more. I love being able to say to people tax billionaires so I don’t have to really confront the real issues facing our society. Feels morally right. Those pesky reformers with their concern for the future! Darn them all to hell!
Yeah and another thing, let’s also get rid of Microsoft and those computer things they have. We don’t need excel or emails really. Oh and apple and their phones. We don’t need them when we have calculators, pencils and letters. I’m with you Zacky boy. Let’s take the fight to the tech giants who ruin our lives! Grrrr
The question here isn’t should we accept asylum seekers or not it’s how many can we accept without effecting our society negatively.
No one in their right mind honestly believes that the majority of these economic migrants are genuine asylum seekers. Equally we don’t genuinely believe that 1m visas were needed to fill jobs or skills shortages from legal migrants.
If you want to pretend they’re “asylum seekers” to give you moral superiority that’s cool. You do you.
The argument is numbers.
If WW3 breaks out and 1bn ppl try and come to the uk, you work out the consequences. Is that “too much” for you? Would you say enough is enough then? If not then what’s the point of arguing. You only care about the destruction of a country and your argument is irrelevant.
What is your number at which you’d say enough is enough.
As far as I can tell the left seems to be claiming moral superiority whilst playing a game of chicken with our nation. Whoever blinks first loses.
Well ok, we blink. You win. Can we get back to a grown up argument about actual limits?
@novaramedia@AaronBastani You’re going to hate what they’re doing in Argentina then.
As @elonmusk says. It’s the appearance of doing good that you guys seem to love. Not the reality of actually doing it. If you were genuinely concerned about reducing rents you’d be advocating for the opposite.
@grok@DanielYorkLoh Thanks, so objectively speaking which current uk political party will likely create the environment shown in the picture if allowed to implement their policies correctly over time.
The irony is, from the outside Rupert has snubbed Advance by expecting them to dissolve into Restore and declare allegiance, when with hindsight Advance had exactly what Restore needed. I hope things turn around but suspect they won’t. Tip of the slipper to @Nigel_Farage . This has proven politics is a much much harder business than people realise.
