1. Cathay Airline 国泰航空其实是“契丹航空”。。。

Cathay并非一个消失在地图上的神秘国家。这个名称来自“契丹”，经中亚语言形成 Khitai、Kitai，再进入欧洲语言成为 Cathay。

至今在俄语中，中国的称呼依然是 Китай（Kitay），这直接保留了“契丹”的发音。

2. 欧洲历史文献中统治东南亚海域的霸主 Koxinga/Coxinga 其实就是郑成功。。。

怎么来的？

郑成功＝国姓爷＝Koxinga＝Coxinga

当年与郑成功在台海交锋的荷兰东印度公司，接触的都是闽南人。“国姓爷”在闽南语（泉漳片）里的发音就是 Kok-sèng-iâ，荷兰人根据听觉拼写成了 Koxinga。

3. 尼采的查拉图斯特拉是古伊朗教派琐罗亚斯德宗教领袖。。。

琐罗亚斯德＝查拉图斯特拉＝Zoroaster＝Zarathustra

Zarathustra 是阿维斯陀语传统中的姓名形式；Zoroaster是经希腊语、拉丁语进入西方语言的形式。中文宗教史常写“琐罗亚斯德”，尼采的《Also sprach Zarathustra》则通常译为《查拉图斯特拉如是说》。

4. “救人一命胜造七级浮屠”中的浮屠，其实指的是升级为 Lv7 的佛陀。。。

梵语的 Buddha，在古代中国最早被音译成“浮屠”或“浮图”，后来才有了更文雅的“佛陀”。

在佛教刚传入中国时，翻译体系非常混乱。梵语里的 Buddha（佛陀） 和 Stupa（窣堵坡，即埋葬佛骨的塔），在早期的音译中，因为发音近似或概念打包，竟然被统统翻译成了“浮屠”或者“浮图”。

所以浮屠就是佛陀，佛陀也是浮屠。。。

5. 伊斯坦布尔 (Istanbul)
指的是“走，进城去，去君士坦丁堡”。。。

在奥斯曼土耳其帝国攻陷这座城市之前，当地的拜占庭希腊人日常说话时，往往懒得叫“君士坦丁堡”（Constantinople）
这么长的全称。他们习惯用一句简短的希腊语口语：“eis tḕn pólin”（发音接近：is-tin-polin）。

eis = 去 / 在 (to / in)
tḕn = 那个 (the)
pólin = 城市 (city)

合起来的意思就是“进城去”或者“城里”。因为君士坦丁堡极其繁华，是当时首屈一指的“大城市”，所以只要说“进城去”，大家都知道是指哪儿。

土耳其人到来后，听当地人天天把“is-tin-polin”挂在嘴边，就按自己的发音习惯把它吸收进了土耳其语，慢慢演化成了 Istanbul。

张益唐在普渡大学期间的导师是莫宗坚，莫坚信雅可比猜想的正确性，当年莫指导张博士论文的时候，给了他一个关于雅可比猜想的错误引理，而根据这条错误路线张最终也没能证明雅可比猜想（的一个弱形式），于是被莫评价为“不适合代数几何”，连推荐信也没有给。在莫的口中，张的博士浪费了七年。
跳转到2018年，莫在张益唐取得孪生素数猜想的重大突破之后，还专门补充了一版“回忆录”来进一步加强对张的指责，却依旧淡化自己的责任。他还是相信雅可比猜想的正确性，甚至觉得AI会在不久之后帮助解决证明过程中的逻辑问题。
而今天，AI给出了一个异常精简的，雅可比猜想的反例。这才是最讽刺的。
