🏆Slovenia is the European champion, and it's no surprise!⬇️

In today's basketball, major countries fail to care about the development of young players, and the system is nonexistent. Slovenia is one of the rare nations where the rules are clear and where young prospects get a real chance in the highest level of competition.

Head coach Danijel Radosavljevic is also a product of that system, receiving the opportunity for continuity in his work, which ultimately yielded results. On paper, Slovenia might not have been the most talented team or possessed the strongest roster. But when a team truly knows each other and grows up together, the ultimate reward follows-a medal at the U19 World Cup and now a gold medal at the European Championship in front of their home fans in Ljubljana.

Mark Padjen, the tournament MVP, is one of the clear leaders of this generation. At just 17 years old, he was given the opportunity at Ilirija to compete and gain experience in the ABA League, quickly becoming a team leader while averaging 25 minutes per game.

Urban Kroflic built his path outside of Slovenia but was always deeply connected to the national team system-the Federation of Slovenia closely tracked his development and consistently gave him opportunities against older players, including his debut with the senior national team last year.

One of the biggest talents of this generation, the mobile forward Vid Hrabar, also carved out his path abroad in Spain as a Baskonia project. Yet, just like Kroflic, he was given the chance to debut for the senior team and remain fully integrated into the Federation's system.

Lovro Lapajne earned his chance at Helios Suns, playing a serious role in the Slovenian First League and ABA 2 League.

Lovro Bolhar, a homegrown talent of Sencur, also played a significant role this season after being thrown into the fire as a 17-year-old under coach Miljan Pavkovic. Also the chance in the Sencur get Samed Grosic and Mark Ciperle to play at the professional level.

Filip Petkovski as the 18-year-old played big minutes at Triglav Kranj.

Lovro Faganel, at 19 years old, received valuable minutes and an opportunity for Ilirija in the ABA League.

The MASSIVE respect goes to the peoples of all that clubs who risked short-term results to successfully develop players and make a golden generation. Slovenia deserves the success!🇸🇮 #NCAA #Slovenia #LukaDoncic
