A hot day with higher demand in Ontario. Little wind and solar (and some nuclear offline) so unfortunately we are stuck with burning gas, and breaching the low-carbon limit of 100g.
On the longest day of the year - showing Canada's warming climate stripes. We and the world warmer than anytime over the last 125,000 years and increasing quickly.
As Ontario gets hotter and AC increases, much higher demands for electricity (and more gas increases our carbon emissions). Heat pumps would help (as well as lower emissions in winter).
