- The Mayor of Clonakilty is Yousuf Janabali from Bangladesh.

- Croke Park is used for Islamic prayers.

- 1/3 of the babies born are born to non-Irish mothers.

- The Vice President of Fianna Fáil, a party founded by Eamon de Valera, is Nigerian woman Uruemu Adejinmi.

- Our sights and attractions have signs installed instructing people on the proper way to use a toilet.

- A government employee, another Nigerian woman, uses the phrase "White person syndrome" when referring to Irish people.

- Irish people are brought to court and face prison for building log cabins on their own land while Africans are handed bail for assaulting women.

This is modern Ireland...

You actually couldn’t make this shit up. A guy illegally enters the country with fake documents. Does a runner across the tarmac in the airport to escape security. Air traffic disrupted while he’s on the loose. He arrested and brought to court (why not put back on the first plane back to where he came from) and a judge says in “innocent until proven guilty” when the Gardai object to bail on the grounds he’s a “flight risk” as they have no idea who he is or what his real name is. A court date is set and he walks free and you can be sure he won’t turn up in court.
Only in Ireland can you get away with this. Our justice system and border protection is broken and a mess.

Back in Ireland a little over an hour after leaving Spain, and I already feel defeated and demoralised.

The parts of Spain we visited were easily 95% native Spanish. There were tourists of course, but they were mostly Europeans too.

I land at Dublin Airport and the arrivals hall is full of Indians and Africans waiting for their families to arrive in Ireland. The departure lounge in Spain was mostly Spanish, with European travellers, Germans, Italians, French, British and Irish.

At the taxi rank I walk past a line of African drivers to our Nigerian one. We took several taxis in Spain. Every driver was Spanish.

I get to my apartment and see a Middle Eastern middle-aged couple getting into their car parked next to mine, husband in front, hijabi wife in the back. I don't recall seeing a single hijab on holiday.

We go to the supermarket. Pakistanis, Africans and Indians are as common as Irish people.

I'm so sick of this. I came home only to be hit with what I already knew but had almost forgotten, my home is being rapidly changed into something that resembles my home less and less every day.

🇮🇪 €29,000 FOR A ST PATRICK’S DAY TRIP, INCLUDING A PRIVATE-POOL SUITE

At a time when ordinary households are being told to watch every euro, questions are being raised over the cost of Minister Jack Chambers’ St Patrick’s Day trip to Senegal and Nigeria.

According to figures obtained by the Irish Examiner under Freedom of Information, the four-person delegation cost the taxpayer more than €29,000.

More than €13,000 was spent on flights, while around €6,400 was spent on four nights at two hotels in Nigeria**.

But one detail is particularly eye-catching.

Chambers reportedly spent one night in a double suite with its own private pool, costing just over €300 for the night, roughly twice the price of rooms occupied by members of his entourage.

The Government sends ministers around the world every St Patrick’s Day to promote Ireland, build diplomatic relationships and encourage trade. There can be genuine value in that.

The question is whether €29,000 for a four-person delegation represents value for taxpayers’ money.

When families are struggling with housing costs, food bills and energy prices, people are entitled to scrutinise every euro spent on ministerial travel.
