The passage is the most walked past wall in a home, and the least designed.
Horizontal lines there make a short corridor feel longer. Vertical ones make the ceiling feel taller.
Which one would your corridor need?
Fine Hexagon Cane, PVC Black (Ref. R11).
Classic open hexagon weave in all-weather graphite PVC. Colour-fast and wipe-clean, for where natural cane can't go: bathroom vanities, balcony screens, pergola ceilings.
LuminArt by Urbane Decor. 750 x 60 cm rolls. Samples on DM.
Monsoon is when a wall shows what it's made of.
Paint blisters. Wallpaper lifts at the seams. MDF swells at the edges.
A wall that doesn't drink water just stays a wall.
Which wall in your home suffered most this monsoon?
Star Openwork Cane, Brown. A six-point star lattice, used as a bedroom feature wall, wardrobe shutters and a ceiling panel. 750x60 cm roll, ~50 sq ft. (Ref. R10)

Everyone argues about the feature wall. Nobody looks up.
The ceiling is usually the biggest empty surface in the room, and it's the one people leave plain white.
Would you ever panel a ceiling?
A textured wall looks flat at noon.
Put one light low and to the side of it after dark, and every groove shows up.
Most rooms light the floor. The good ones light the wall.
Which wall in your home would you light first?
Star Openwork, Natural.
Bleached cane in a six-point star lattice. One roll (750 x 60 cm, about 50 sq ft) doing a headboard wall, a folding screen and sideboard fronts. (Ref. R9)

Wide Open Hexagon, Natural.
Large open hexagons: the panel reads as pattern and still lets light and air through. Sliding doors, cabinet fronts, the back of a daybed.

Micro Square Weave, Two-tone Mix. Silvered strands crossing warm brown in a tight square grid. (Ref. R6)
One roll, three jobs: sideboard shutters, a coffered ceiling, a bedroom feature wall.

Nobody picks a wall panel for how it sounds. Then it goes up and the room is quieter.
A flat painted wall sends a clap straight back. Flutes and slats split that reflection into dozens of small ones, and the room loses its hard edge.
Which room in your place echoes the most?
@Archello Aluminium is the least forgiving of the two. A surface that flat picks up whatever the frame behind it is doing, so a small precast tolerance turns into a visible wave once the sun crosses it at a low angle. That flatness gets won on the sub frame, not on the panel.
Fine Square Weave, Brown.
A tight open grid that filters light instead of blocking it. One roll, three jobs: wardrobe shutters, a bar cabinet front, full-height glazed doors. (Ref. R5)
750 x 60 cm roll, approx 50 sq ft. Dispatch in 24h.

A wall gets chosen from across the room. It gets judged at arm's length.
Below shoulder height it is touched, scuffed and wiped every week, and the finish that survives that is rarely the one that won the mood board.
Which wall in your place takes the most handling?
@wallpapermag CLT framed is a decision about the finishes too. Timber moves with the humidity around it, so whatever is fixed flat to that frame moves with it. A passive house holds the air steady, which quietly keeps those joints closed years after the airtightness test.
Fine Square Weave, Natural (Ref. R4).
Cane squared off: flat pale strips on a tight grid, dark through every square. Quieter than hexagon caning, so it carries large drawer fronts and vanities.

You picked a twelve foot wall off a sample the size of a postcard.
At that size a pattern reads as texture. Across the wall it reads as a repeat, and veining you hardly noticed becomes the loudest thing in the room.
How big was the sample you last chose a whole wall from?
