One of the iron laws of patriarchy is that most men in such a society are expendable. If men could get pregnant you can bet that a good portion of men in that society would basically have birthing as a 9-5, with a dark past of birthing-serfdom before the industiral revolution.
@Tom_Rowsell@CityBureaucrat This was also a thing in Norway. Popularly practiced until the 1860s and the last time at least in my region was in the 1960s.
@br0tos I can't believe we are still doing this whole 70s thing of romanticising CEOs and billionaires as if they aren't flawed, preverted little psychos (see Elon's baby-play and diper fetish)
No amount of wealth or connections can buy you true, deep, artistic and sage-like insight into the nature of the world, and the billionaires can't help but cosplay as interlectuals
“Writers” who don’t write, “bookworms” who don’t read, “sluts” who don’t fuck…if you do anything at all these days you’re already in the 99th percentile
@iron_redux Because they are man-children who have an unhealthy attachment to being a good person. At least that is the case most often, I think. It is basically the worst type of deception: self-deception. "Have my cake and eat it under the guise of self-healing/rationalization."
Tolkien would've felt like Oppenheimer, Tolkienheimer if you will, if he saw the mess he caused by accidentally popularizing the idea of "worldbuilding"
