that residents of Uri get some benefit out of it. “This is a border area and people here have multiple issues. But this help desk will teach them about RTI so that they can find the solutions of their problems from the government and make them accountable,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that it is the first-in-kind outreach programme where the government of J&K has tried to reach the activists and hear their concerns about good governance.

Adv. Naveed Bukhtiyar, Legal Advisor and Coordinator of the J&K RTI Movement, represented the organisation before the chief secretary of J&K and other officials today at the banquet hall in Srinagar.
