67,880 pancreata were discarded during the study period. Of these, 1329 (2%) had terminal AST >500 U/L, 1799 (3%) had ALT >500 U/L, 743 (1%) had ALT/AST >500 U/L and 1541 (2%) had total bilirubin >3 mg/dL, yielding a total of 5412 discarded pancreata. All potentially viable.

Our latest paper looks at the effect of elevated LFT levels on outcomes of 9,138 pancreas allograft transplants. Increased LFTs were not associated with worse recipient and graft survival and should not serve as absolute contraindication. @UBSurgery
