@Muninn@Qullamaggie Is there data that proves this? A good way to see this would be if these rules are leaving the same amount of EV on the table as they were 10 years ago…
@EmporosResearch cybercab also is likely not coming to scale ANYTIME soon, like maybe within a decade if things go well
The process to change/update regulation to ship cars with no steering wheel, no mirrors, no pedals, etc will take forrrrreeeeverrrr
@jscherniack I mean all of these hedge funds with their trillions of tokens will probably be fighting over ticks instead of completely altering how classic structures like the ORB work. Their micro competition will/should only increase market depth/efficiency right?
@jscherniack I don’t believe so… I actually think that aside from 24/7 any other factors will only make the current things/patterns more solidified in the market. More data should mean better market efficiency, and the market is pretty damn efficient already.
@EmporosResearch@DThomasStealth If you are concerned with price gapping down below your stop by single digit numbers, then swing trading is simply not for you. You can’t just work around an intrinsic property of the market, and furthermore, a feature of this style of trading.
Hope that’s enough elaboration
@EmporosResearch@DThomasStealth I actually tried something quite similar a while ago: buy 50% on day one, and then the other 50% on day 2 if it takes out day 1 high
Wrecked my OOS EV and did nothing, because there were no leptokurtotic gaps to protect from in the first place…
@EmporosResearch@DThomasStealth If you expect a lot of fat gaps, then don’t size big. Easy. If you trade liquid, high MC stocks, trying to protect against gaps will only cause your EV to fall. So either your EV “falls” bc of gaps or because you try to protect from them
