@Dndbreakfast @realDonaldTrump If I could have one wish re: the Middle East, I would ask that you send back to Afghanistan the dog handlers and troops who had to leave their dogs by order of Biden, and have them bring back our war dogs, and, if it's too late, find out, and avenge them.
@nicksortor Agreed. @ICEgov employees should receive the full protection of the military as needed, or be allowed to properly defend themselves. Anything less is outrageously inferior and an egregious affront to the stability of the nation. We must take care of our own!
I don't want to make a martyr of the Fort Hood terrorist. @POTUS@SecWar if you really want to deter future Islamist terrorists, use fear and shame in their executions. All-female firing squads with bullets dipped in bacon fat.
Only one branch has touched H-1B.
The executive branch. The other two have sat on their asses with no intention of doing anything against their lobbyists.
Trump's people put a six-figure fee on new petitions. They opened fraud cases. They walked into empty offices that were supposed to hold hundreds of visa workers. Yesterday they froze PERM for Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini. No new green-card filings. No pending ones either. Vance stood up and said no company abused the system more than Microsoft. Fines, suspensions, investigations. That is action.
It is also not a statute.
A blue house can pull their funding.
An executive order depends on who the POTUS is.
Congress has held hearings. Congress has written bills. Congress has put names on press releases. A bill is not a law. Schoolhouse Rock laid that out in a song most of us can still hum. The scroll does not become law because a senator is angry on television. It becomes law when both chambers pass the same text and it gets signed. That has not happened. The cap is still the cap. The body-shop model is still legal until someone rewrites it. They have not rewritten it.
The courts do not write the visa statute either. They can block a fee, slow a rule, or send a case back. They cannot decide that American graduates get the seat. That decision sits with the people who will not take the vote.
So when someone tells you the Senate is "working on H-1B," ask for the public law number. If they do not have one, they have a draft and a donor lunch while assuring their Chamber of Commerce and ITServe Alliance lobby its all talk and no action.
The executive branch moved because the legislative branch would not. Temporary rules can be undone by the next administration. A statute is harder to wipe. They know that.
That is why the bill stays a bill.
@KersemansRudy@MOSSADil@patriciakooreva Right. I won't have a party, but I will think about how he had time to prepare for death but his victims were caught off guard. @glennbeck was saying something about having an all-female firing squad so all the terrorists know he doesn't make it to Moslem Heaven. I agree.
It keeps happening...
There are 42 states that hold bartenders accountable if the customers they over serve kill someone but 0 states that hold Judges accountable if the criminals they release kill someone.
This needs to change.
To those who claimed that no woman in Iran has ever been flogged for refusing to wear the hijab: LOOK AT HER BACK.
This woman is one of the brave members of my #WhiteWednesdays campaign against compulsory hijab.
She sent me this photo of her scarred back after being punished with 74 lashes for the “crime” of showing her hair.
Holding a Woman, Life, Freedom slogan, she refused to be silenced. Here is her testimony:
“The morality police arrested me for resisting their van. My ‘crime’ was unveiling. After months of court hearings, I was sentenced to 74 lashes. The cleric overseeing the punishment stood there to ensure it was carried out.
I won’t give up my fight against this brutal regime, but we are fed up with living as prisoners in our own homeland.”
Seventy-four lashes. For showing her hair. In the 21st century.
This is barbarism. And you tell me, how is this different from ISIS?
At first, I was shocked to learn Texas was importing English Teachers from India, but what I’ve just learned is even worse.
TEXAS TAXPAYERS ARE PAYING MILLIONS TO AN EDUCATION COMPANY DEVELOPING AMERICAN SCHOOL CURRICULUM IN INDIA.
And the deeper I dig, the worse this looks.
Imagine Learning says it serves 18 MILLION students, 38,000+ U.S. schools and HALF of all American school districts.
I’ve identified more than $7.7 MILLION in Texas district contracts, purchasing authorizations and payment records.
Imagine Learning is recruiting workers in Bengaluru to develop American K–12 curriculum.
Not just software engineers, not customer support but CURRICULUM ARCHITECTS, INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS, ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS MANAGERS.
People in India are developing American K–12 reading lessons, writing assignments, literature questions, essay prompts, assessments and materials “aligned with U.S. state education standards.”
They’re even recruiting managers to oversee curriculum design decisions and AI-assisted lesson development.
We’re talking about the actual educational content being created for American children and this goes FAR beyond one office.
INFOSYS publicly announced TWO AI-first delivery centers for Imagine Learning in Chandigarh and Pune, supporting product engineering, business systems and operations.
Straive LearningMate also names Imagine Learning as a client for AI-assisted curriculum production, including assessments and content transformation. Its executives describe a relationship spanning more than a decade and the INDIAN GOVERNMENT is celebrating the expansion.
Karnataka’s government technology department publicly promoted Imagine Learning’s Bengaluru operation, highlighting AI, data science, engineering and product development.
Imagine Learning India executive Ravi Shanker also reported attending a Karnataka government-hosted industry meeting with senior political leadership.
But wait, there’s more - look at what Imagine Learning markets to TEXAS schools:
7TH GRADE TEXAS HISTORY.
8TH GRADE U.S. HISTORY.
AMERICAN GOVERNMENT.
U.S. HISTORY SINCE 1877.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS.
A Houston charter school’s Texas Education Agency grant application specifically identified Imagine Learning for seventh-grade Texas History and eighth- and eleventh-grade U.S. History.
We’re talking about lessons addressing Texas independence, annexation, the Constitution and the history of our country.
WHO is writing those lessons? WHERE are they being developed? Who has final editorial authority?
AND THEN THERE’S THE CHILDREN’S DATA.
Imagine Learning’s privacy policy says its platforms can collect student names, assessments, writing samples, audio recordings, demographic information, and sensitive indicators including IEP status, foster care and homelessness.
The company says personal information is stored and processed in the United States, but it’s also hiring platform and data engineers in India.
Can employees or contractors overseas remotely access identifiable student records? Do Infosys or LearningMate personnel have access? What do the Texas contracts actually permit?
We have outsourced American jobs, technology and entire industries. Now companies are building offshore operations around the development of lessons for American children - financed by American taxpayers.
TEXAS NEEDS A FULL AUDIT OF IMAGINE LEARNING.
Every taxpayer dollar, every offshore contractor, every curriculum author, every AI workflow and every very permission to access student data.
American parents deserve to know who writes their children’s lessons and who can see their records.
How many of you knew OUR children’s curriculum is being developed in India?
I think I need to keep pulling this thread.
A plea
I implore all of you to check with your family, friends, and neighbors and make sure they're voting red. I know its said every election cycle but this is one of the most important votes of your life.
America is on the edge of returning to greatness or falling into despair.
We're counting on each and every one of you to Make America Great Again!
🚨 BREAKING: Gov. Ron DeSantis announces PROSECUTIONS are coming for anyone abandoning their DOG or pet in the path of Hurricane Isaias landfall tonight
"You BETTER TREAT THEM PROPERLY. If you don't, if you leave them in the path of a hurricane, YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE." 🔥
WE PROTECT DOGS IN FLORIDA ☀️
This comes after someone left a DOG to DIE on the side of the road before Milton, but the dog was RESCUED before anything could happen
"That you'd tie a dog up on the side of the freeway?"
That dog, Trooper, was found tied to a fence on I-75 in Tampa with floodwaters rising. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper pulled him out
After that, Florida passed "Trooper's Law," making it a FELONY to leave a dog tied up and stranded during a disaster
TAKE YOUR PETS. Give them to a free hurricane shelter.
🇺🇸 Today, my Uber driver shared a story I won’t forget.
He escaped Cuba and communism in search of a better life. Now a proud American, he told me how troubling it is to see people embracing the very ideology he fled.
His story is a powerful reminder of how fortunate we are to live in America.
Freedom is a blessing. Never take it for granted. 🇺🇸
