Our co-founder Yoran Hummel attended "Smarter, Faster, Better: How AI is Reshaping the Echocardiography Workflow" at San Luca Hospital, a one-day course fully dedicated to AI and echocardiography. He also gave a presentation and led a two-hour hands-on workshop, giving attendees the opportunity to experience https://t.co/LR5so3Qt1v firsthand.
Being in the room with clinicians, scientists and fellow technology developers was a reminder of how much the field is shifting. A few things stood out:
➡️ The conversation has moved on. The question is no longer whether AI works. It is how to implement it responsibly, equitably and effectively in routine clinical practice.
➡️ Standardisation is the real opportunity. AI's ability to reduce variability, improve reproducibility and support less experienced operators is where the greatest clinical value lies.
➡️ End-to-end workflows are the future. AI is evolving beyond automated measurements toward full workflow support including image acquisition, quality control, structured reporting and disease detection.
➡️ Vendor agnosticism and interoperability are non-negotiable. Future AI solutions must integrate echocardiography with multimodality imaging, clinical information and outcomes data to support truly patient-centred care.
At https://t.co/LR5so3Qt1v, these are not aspirations. They are what we build toward every day.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this educational event and to put our technology directly in the hands of clinicians. There is no better way to understand what the field needs than by being in the room.
A huge thank you to course directors Luigi Badano, Denisa Muraru and Marco Penso for creating such a focused and thoughtful space for this conversation.

Echo is already the frontline screening tool for cardiac amyloidosis. But echo labs are busy. That's where AI echo comes in — making detection more scalable, accurate and efficient.
In this interview, Dr. Slivnick, lead author of the study published in Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, explains why combining https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3's AI echo model with clinical and laboratory data was designed to mirror what clinicians already do in practice. And what the results mean for the future of CA screening.

Published in ESC Heart Failure, the study looked at the cost of AI-assisted LVEF assessment using https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3, performed by novices, versus standard sonographer-led echocardiography in Singapore.
Same diagnostic accuracy. Significantly lower cost.
Dr. Tromp, Assistant Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, shares what this means for healthcare systems where echocardiographic capacity is limited and heart failure is on the rise.
We are proud to have https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3 as the AI echo software featured in this work!

At the heart of everything we do is a simple mission: make echocardiography analysis more accurate, more efficient and more accessible for clinicians and patients around the world.
"The gain that you get, the reduction of error in reducing variability of day to day measurements doesn't even speak to the other benefits of using an AI echo platform like this, and the efficiency gains in throughput in a lab, is incredibly amazing." – Dr. Ken Stein

https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3's cardiac amyloidosis AI model is already FDA-cleared and CE marked for CA detection from a single echo view. But a new study in Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging asked: could adding clinical and laboratory data make it even better?
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐬.
Tested and validated in a multicenter, international cohort of 1,043 patients across 9 sites, the model combined https://t.co/atBYE0GB0J's deep learning output with demographics, lab biomarkers and TTE parameters.
🟢 AUC improved from 0.89 to 0.94.
🟢Sensitivity improved from 76% to 93%.
🟢Indeterminate cases eliminated entirely.
The first study to fuse deep learning TTE AI with multimodal clinical data for cardiac amyloidosis detection.
https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3 is proud to have been central to this work. Congratulations to the entire team.

A new economic evaluation looked at the cost of AI-assisted LVEF assessment using https://t.co/LR5so3R0R3, performed by novices, versus standard sonographer-led echocardiography in Singapore.
The AI-POC pathway cost US$1,422 per patient, compared to US$1,684 for conventional TTE, a saving of US$26,013 per 100 patients at a single centre.
This study is specific to Singapore's healthcare system. But the methodology is transferable. Research teams in other countries can apply the same framework using their own local cost and epidemiological data to understand what AI-POC task-shifting could mean for their health system.
The economic case for AI echo is no longer just theoretical!

AI echo doesn't just help patients. It also helps the planet! 🌏
Presented at #HeartFailure26, the Heart2Miss study showed AI-powered cardiac triage at primary care level makes a real environmental difference.
Across 716 patients:
→ 53% reduction in distance travelled per patient.
→ 39% fewer carbon emissions.
→ 77.4% of patients needed no further cardiac testing beyond primary care.
Decentralising cardiac diagnostics isn't just clinically effective. It's environmentally responsible and directly aligned with upcoming strategic commitments to sustainability.
This is what AI echo beyond the hospital looks like.
