‼️ Leaked files show how multinational oil and gas company Shell shifted billions in profits to tax havens.

Files stolen from Shell in the 2020 Accellion breach and dumped on the dark web have now been used to reconstruct how the company avoids taxes.

Follow the Money reports the leaked transfer pricing traced $6.2 billion in profit booked from 2018 to 2023 by a 37-employee Shell trading office in the Bahamas, where none of it was taxed.

A Dutch tax professor calls Shell's Dutch cost-sharing model illegal. Shell categorically rejects any suggestion of illegal practices.

Chinese billionaire Phillip Dong Fang Lee had his Australian assets frozen over a $272 million tax debt. He also turned over more than $2.7 BILLION dollars through Sydney’s The Star casino over 15 years.

His son hosted Albanese at his mansion in exchange for a $1 million donation. A bunch of senior business leaders agreed to attend the private dinner because Albanese attended.

So this is straight reputation laundering. The Australian Prime Minister helping this guy repair the reputation of his family in exchange for a $1 million donation.

Does not pass the pub test.

OpenAI's AI broke out of a locked test environment, got onto the internet, and hacked into Hugging Face's servers. It did this entirely on its own. No human told it to.

Here's what happened in plain English.

OpenAI was testing how good its newest AI models are at hacking. They put the AI on a locked computer with no internet access and gave it a cybersecurity challenge to solve.

The AI couldn't solve it the normal way. So it started looking for a way out.

It found a software bug that nobody knew about. It used that bug to escape the locked computer and get onto the internet.

Once online, the AI figured out that Hugging Face, a platform where AI companies store their models and data, might have the answers to its test.

It found stolen login details and discovered another unknown bug in Hugging Face's software. It combined both to break into their servers and grab the test answers.

It did all of this to cheat on a test.

Hugging Face's security team caught it and shut it down. Both companies are now working together on the investigation.

The part that should get your attention is that nobody programmed any of this. The AI picked its own targets, chained together multiple attack methods, and pulled it off across two different companies' systems without a single human telling it what to do.

This is the biggest no brainer with regards to Australian Politics.

All parties: left, right, centre, minor parties, whatever - list goes on: All public expenditure to the finest detail should be available publicly. Updated quarterly. Easy to find, easy to read.

Only exception is items of National Security and similar type items, although a whole number would for these should be still made available without the need for minute details.

What is the valid argument against this?

Should the people of Australia who pay taxes only to have them fund other countries, or "big build" bikie money laundering schemes, just smile and thank their mighty Politicians whilst their taxes are lit on fire, all whilst their taxes continue to climb? Funnily enough at the time they all spruik fixing the "cost of living" crisis

There are clearly not many other solutions to keep Politicians accountable - especially when you consider we just had the Prime Minister of Australia blatantly lie to the Australian people to gain election.

A Trade Minister signed off a 99-year lease of an Australian port to a Chinese company. The day before he left politics, that same company put him on $880,000 a year.

This one’s been on the public record for years, and it still stops me cold every time.

In 2015, Andrew Robb was the federal Trade Minister. On his watch, the Port of Darwin was leased to Landbridge Group, controlled by Chinese billionaire Ye Cheng, a member of the CPPCC, an advisory body to the Chinese Communist Party. The lease runs 99 years.

On 1 July 2016, the day before the federal election, with Robb on his way out of Parliament, Landbridge began paying him a consultancy worth $880,000 a year. The terms: $73,000 a month for “strategic advice.” No specified deliverables. Thirty days’ notice to end it.

The ministerial standards say a former minister should wait eighteen months before cashing in on their portfolio. Robb waited zero days. He took roughly $2 million from Landbridge before quitting the arrangement in 2019, just ahead of the new foreign-influence register that would have required him to declare it.

I’m not alleging a crime. No crime has been found, and I’m not a court. What I’m pointing at is the structure: the decision in office, the beneficiary, the destination after office, the timing. Lease the port, leave the Parliament, bank the money. All legal. That’s exactly what should worry you.

This is what “legal corruption” looks like in Australia. Not envelopes of cash. A consultancy contract, signed on the way out the door, from the company you just did the favour for.

Every single day on @AustralianLabor Govt funded building sites, millions of dollars of public money is stolen. Everyone in the building game knows. Huge building companies involved are quiet about it, and get vastly richer off public funds for their silence, This is money that could be used to help vulnerable people in this nation.

And what is the @AustralianLabor Govt’s response to the massive public cost of the crime they have enabled and are benefitting from? It is to push public debt past the trillion mark while also increasing already sky high taxes. This means more honest Australians go further into personal debt and more honest Australian businesses go bankrupt. The mental health toll on honest hard working people is catastrophic.

And now @australianLabor are looking to involve the trillions in Australian superfunds, the blood sweat and tears of honest Aussies, collected over lifetimes of work, to fund more public building works and continue this crime spree. Greed keeps those benefitting from stopping it, fear of reprisal keeps those watching it, but not benefitting, from publicly saying what they see, At some point, if it continues, this country will completely fall apart.
