Among the Ukrainian Defenders released today are 25 officers whom Russia had previously absolutely refused to exchange.

More than half of the released defenders were captured by Russia during the defense of Mariupol. The youngest of them is 22 years old, and the oldest is 63. Additionally, 7 Ukrainian civilians who had been held in Russian captivity since 2022 have also returned home.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 grants Congress the exclusive power to declare war, raise armies, and regulate the military. Conversely, Article II, Section 2 makes the President Commander-in-Chief, allowing them to direct military operations.

I just heard Lindsey Graham doubt the US attack on Iran is war. This is one easy way to test if it is, reverse the roles. If Iran had launched attacks on 2,000 US targets and killed key leadership would anyone doubt this is war?

And, if this solidifies the US has gone to war without an external attack, then its time to look at the US Constitution to see what must pre-date such action.
