I've followed you for a long time.
Why do you have to do me like that?
I'd be a much better PM than Carney.
My platform:
1: Eliminate Global Affairs Canada, freeing up $9,466,195,000 to be spent on Canadians.
2: Defund the CBC, reallocating a portion of that budget to Canadian Cultural Content in the form of grants for the arts. we all know that song from the weird cartoon about the log driver, and thats a good thing. Canadiana is important, a unifying culture is important. Propaganda is not.
3: Eliminate income tax under $50,000, increasing GST tp 8% to compensate. Simplify the tax code so that most people who do pay tax are taxed at source, with no need for an annual filing by individuals with employers filing income taxes monthly. This would eliminate 75% of the CRA saving ~4 billion/year once the severances are paid out.
4: Simplify corporate taxes the same way, eliminating duplicate or burdensome taxes that stifle growth. I'd also increase the small business limit to 1,000,000 from 500,000.
5: Impose strict quotas for Immigration, based on meritocracy. Engineers, doctors, skilled trades (anyone likely to earn enough to pay income tax) are welcome, fast food workers and truck drivers are not, those jobs can be filled by Canadian youth. Keep the TFW program (because fruits and vegetables need to be harvested and just getting Canadians to do it wont happen) but mandate than any business bringing in TFWs is responsible for vetting and housing them, and fining businesses if one of their TFWs participate in any antisocial behaviour.
6: (copied from Poilievre cause I give credit unlike Carney) replace the current process of resource extraction permitting with preapproved land parcels available for lease to the most competent bidder.
Provinces or First Nations that acted against the financial interest of Canada would loose all federal funding. ALL federal funding, for not less than 2 years. ( that last bit is all me)
7: implement a slow dissolution of the current supply management systems for dairy and other essentials, in the same way that New Zealand did, demonstrating that dairy producers might actually be able to make more money in the new system vs the current system. this would be coupled to a base guaranteed supply to mitigate the fluctuations that supply management was originally introduced to control while lowering prices for Canadians.
8: Reinforce the standing of Section 7 of the Canadian Human Rights act. imposing crippling fines on any business found to be hiring based on quotas or discriminating against ANY race or EITHER sex for ANY reason. When is say crippling I mean crippling, 75% of gross profit for the year in which the company violated the Act.
9: Make Castle Doctrine the law of the land. You broke into someone's house and got your back broken when they fought you off. your fault. the occupant gets a reward for removing a criminal from society and you get to deal with the consequences. MAID would only be available to people like you.
10: Add Parental Rights to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. any individual or institution found to be violating a parents rights by coercing their child into a behavior that the parents have not explicitly consented to would face prison time for any individuals involved and fines for any institutions involved.
11: Copy Portugal's method of drug rehab exactly, not the half assed way the NDP did it. no crack in public, no crack pipe vending machines. Strict rules for use of safe drugs (only consumed on premises, only administered by professionals) and a focus on rehab.
12: use some of the money saved by ending GAC to expand the health care system. Treat dental just like any other healthcare, covered by provincial healthcare plans. Id also ensure that everywhere in Canada had access to drinking water, because its 2026 and that should already have happened. This would include an increase in the funding for provincial school systems so that they can provide meals for students, like they do in
japan, but with the efficiency of being administered by Provincial not Federal Governments.
In all I think you can clearly see that a Useless Prime Minister would be much much better than Mark Carney.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The truth is Poilievre has been the ONLY federal leader addressing the recession with sadness and regret, and in a solemn tone.
He's done so by connecting the economic statistics to the experiences of regular Canadians who are suffering under Carney's recession.
I wrote about that here:

When my husband died in late summer last year, my daughter and I didn't just lose him.
We lost more than half our household income overnight.
Suddenly, every dollar had a job. Every bill became a math problem.
Because my income dropped so dramatically, I became eligible for a GST rebate of about $435.
To some people, that might sound like a nice little bonus.
To people like me, trying to live on less than $27,000 a year, it's not spending money. It's survival money.
Where I live, water, garbage, and recycling cost me $520 every three months. Coincidentally, those bills arrive around the same time as the GST rebate.
So the GST cheque doesn't buy treats. It doesn't fund vacations. It doesn't even make life easier.
It mostly disappears into a utility bill before I can blink.
Today I'm sharing screenshots from my CRA account to demonstrate the federal government's latest affordability miracle with their renamed GST benefit masquerading as the Groceries and Essentials Benefit.
My GST rebate went up.
By six dollars.
Not sixty.
Not six hundred.
Six.
Apparently somewhere in Ottawa, somebody looked at the affordability crisis facing Canadians and thought:
"Hmm, needs more half sandwich."๐ค
What makes this worse is knowing there are millions of Canadians out there who need help just as badly as I do, but don't qualify for a penny of it.
People working two jobs.
People trying to raise families.
Seniors watching every grocery bill climb higher.
People doing everything right and still falling behind.
So to @MarkJCarney, I have a simple question.
Why are you celebrating the existence of a Grocery and Essentials Benefit instead of asking why Canadians need one in the first place? How much did it cost taxpayers for the photo-op? Do you not see the hypocrisy in it?
Because that is the part I can't understand. A government should not be standing in a grocery store congratulating itself for handing back a few dollars of taxpayers' own money.
A government should be creating the conditions where people can afford groceries without government assistance.
The goal should be fewer Canadians needing benefits, not more!
I'm not proud to qualify for this.
๐๐ป I don't want to qualify for a government cheque.
๐๐ป I don't want to qualify for a renamed GST rebate.
๐๐ป I don't want my kid to qualify for a school lunch program because parents can no longer afford lunches.
I want an economy where ordinary Canadians can stand on their own feet and keep more of what they earn and be proud about it.
The fact that Ottawa felt the need to rename the GST rebate to include the words "Groceries and Essentials" should have set off alarm bells in every cabinet office in the country.
Because groceries and essentials are not luxuries. If Canadians need government assistance to afford the basics of life, that is not evidence of success.
It's evidence that something has gone very badly wrong.
What makes it even harder to stomach is watching a government talk about borrowing billions for new projects and sovereign wealth funds while ordinary Canadians are being told to celebrate an extra six dollars.
Six dollars!
That's not economic leadership.
That's a receipt. Perhaps the question Canadians should be asking is this:
If #MarkCarney's resume is as impressive as advertised, why do the results look like this?
At some point, Canadians stop listening to credentials and start looking at outcomes. And the outcomes are speaking for themselves!
One of them in the reply chain is also claiming RBC Scotiabank CIBC etc will leave Alberta as if: A. They don't already have international branches. B. They will choose to miss out on operating banks in an incredibly wealthy low tax country. The inability to percieve 2nd order consequenses is very on-brand.
The grocery rebate is a complete scam.
Firstly, it is the gst credit, renamed to grocery rebate. Nothing new here. A gold painted turd ๐ฉ.
Second, my parents only got $90.40 for theirsโฆ not the $890 the liberals keep spouting off in question period.
My dad called CRA, asked why, they said because he made too much moneyโฆ my parents are low income since my dad was forced into retirement several years ago because of a vehicle accident. They said they based my parents eligibility on his last year that he worked incomeโฆ. Not these last 3 years on CPP pension aka povertyโฆ
This is disgusting, sickening and pure evil.
Tom Mulcair "Yes, officer, technically I was speeding, but it was only a few miles an hour above the speed limit"
"A recession is a recession is a recession. Two consecutive quarters negative growth recession, not a technical recession." @ThomasMulcair
If you own a Chinese EV in Canada, you may not be able to cross the border into the U.S. even for day trips if Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin & Republican Senator Haley Steven have anything to say about it.
They want to ban them outright from entering both through Canada and Mexico.
The GST/HST rebrand is actually a valuable lesson.
Most voters are very simple. Policies need to sound like they feel good. That's how certain Bills (C63 comes to mind) are sold to the public.
The @CPC_HQ needs slogans that are a bit less slogany.
They need to sound smart and caring.
"We're going to cut tax" doesn't hit right. "We're going to help Canadians fund their own dreams" does.
40 years ago my cousin's mother discovered he likely had Down's syndrome.
She drank heavily thoughout her pregnancy but the Down's was nothing to do with that.
She agonized over what to do, and finally decided she was going to abort him.
The abortion didn't work and his brain got completely messed up.
This led him to eat weird things, like lead paint. He also used to hit his head with a hammer while laughing manically.
But now he's a Labour MP. Which just goes to show.
