6/ The long-term idea is simple:
You buy something.
Nobu remembers it.
Nobu watches the price.
If something changes that could save you money, Nobu tells you.
Buy once. Track the drop.
More from Nobu soon.
1/ You buy something for $100.
A few days later, the same product is $80.
Most people will never know the price changed.
That’s the problem we built Nobu to solve.
🧵
5/ We’re starting with Target.
Not because Nobu is meant to be a Target-only product forever.
It’s because we’d rather make one retailer work properly first than pretend to support 20 retailers badly.
Target is only the starting point for Nobu.
The next step is adding more retailers so the same post-purchase monitoring experience works across more of the places people already shop.
One retailer at a time, we’re building the post-purchase layer for online shopping.
How do you identify the exact product, monitor it safely, alert the right person, and make the whole process easy enough to use?
Target is only the first integration.
The long-term goal is to make Nobu the agent people rely on after every purchase.
Building Nobu has changed how I think about “simple” products.
What started as “help people notice when something they bought gets cheaper” quickly became a much bigger problem:
Most people stop checking the price the moment they complete a purchase.
But sometimes, the same item becomes cheaper a few days later.
Nobu keeps watching the exact product after you buy, so you don’t miss a possible chance to request the difference from the retailer.
That annoying moment when something you bought goes on sale a few days later?
Some retailers let you request the price difference back, but most people never notice the drop in time.
That is exactly the problem Nobu is built to solve.
We are starting with Target, but the vision is much bigger.
More retailer integrations are planned so users can eventually monitor eligible purchases across different stores without repeatedly checking prices themselves.

What if the price of something you bought dropped a few days late, and you could request the difference back from the retailer?
Some retailers like Target offers this.
Nobu helps you catch those price drops before the opportunity disappears.
Here’s how it works 🧵
#OKXAI
When Nobu finds a safely matched lower Target price, it alerts the user so they can request the difference.
Nobu does not promise or issue the adjustment.
The retailer verifies the request and makes the final decision based on its policy.
