First, is the belief that God created everything in 6 days a salvational issue? When a Christian gets to heaven will they be denied entry because they didn't have this belief?
Of course it's not a salvational issue. Whether everything was created in a literal 24 hour time frame or not, it doesn't matter.
Second, the word "day" has a few meanings/uses. We say "day" when the sun is up and night when it's not. We say "day" to refer to a 24 hour span of time. BUT, we also say day to refer to an undefined period of time such as "Back in my day..."
If someone said "Back in my day, we didn't have the internet." would you then ask them specifically what day they are referring to?
Third, is it possible that God initiated a "big bang" with all the laws of reality in place and over a period of millions or billions of years we have the universe that we live in? Of course.
Is it also possible that God created everything over a literal 6 day, 24 hour, time span? Also, of course.
@DrFrankTurek Reasons I’ve been given: “Something happened in my past that has caused me to turn away from Christianity”, “Someone I knew, who called themself a Christian, did something terrible and so I can’t follow that religion.”, and the worst one, “I’m too smart to believe in religion.”
George Floyd dies from a fentanyl overdose after trying to use counterfeit cash. A man who once robbed a pregnant woman by holding a gun to her belly. Hailed as a saint by the mainstream media.
Henry Nowak is literally walking home peacefully when he is attacked and stabbed multiple times by a protected class in the UK. Police show up and handcuff him after the man who stabbed him claims 'he said racist things to me.' Main stream media is silent.
Leftists hate white people and love the people that want to see the Western world in ruins.
The bodycam footage of Henry Nowak has just been released.
An 18-year-old who was stabbed FIVE TIMES called the police for help.
His attacker told officers Henry was a racist.
So they handcuffed the victim.
Henry told them over and over:
"I've been stabbed."
"I can't breathe."
"Please brother, I can't breathe."
An officer responded: "You've been stabbed, mate? I don't think you have."
Henry died in handcuffs.
The mainstream media has said NOTHING.
Where is the same outrage from when George Floyd died?
Watch this footage. Share it everywhere.
Pray for Henry’s family.
@QuetzalPhoenix And then they ruined it with the sequel. Feminism, girl bossing it up, stay at home neutered dad shown to be incompetent with raising the kids and managing the household.
Men don't attack women because we know that we will seriously hurt you. Women attack men because they believe they are safe from being attacked back. Instead they should understand how dangerous it is to attack to a man and have better judgement to not do so.
Also there are the delusional women how truly believe they are stronger than men.
Okay. I'll grant and follow you're interpretation of that one verse if you first accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, worship The One True God, abolish abortion, abolish gay marriage and any unscriptural marriage, and outlaw feminism.
But you don't want to do that do you? You just want to cherry pick verses out of a book that you don't believe in which is divinely inspired by The God you hate to try and manipulate others. Am I right?
Wouldn’t a person who knows how to interchangeably use yes, yup, uh huh, and yeah be smarter than someone who only knows yes?
In fact a true sign of intellegence is being able to communicate effectively to people who may not have the same range of vocabulary as the speaker may have.
Not really. Studies have shown that people with ADHD can have intense focus on one thing.
Put a person with ADHD in front of a computer where they have to focus on something they aren’t interested in and it can be very hard. But put them in front of a computer to play a video game they like or to watch a movie they enjoy and the person with ADHD can focus intensely on that one thing.
Tuning out distractions is hard. That’s why you need to try and eliminate anything that could distract you.
People with disabilities can learn new ways to overcome their disabilities. Someone without arms can learn to use their feet. Some who is blind can use a dog. However, someone who is blind will never be able to see like someone who isn’t blind. Their life is different but it doesn’t mean they must “give up.” If you have ADHD you can learn new ways to adapt and use tools to make life more manageable.
Many things happened but one is that women have been told for many generations now, that it's more important that they focus on going to college for a useless degree, and then spend a decade establishing a career. Instead of just finding a good man and starting a family, which is far more important for the growth and prosperity of a nation.
Subnautica 2 is a pacifist ideology woven into a game.
Players have noticed you cannot defend yourself against attacking fish. Not even in self defense. Only passive means are available.
This was by design. You can't kill anything because the devs feel it would support gun violence and aspects of colonialism:
"Subnautica is one vote towards a world with less guns. A reminder that there is another way forward."
"We want people to feel like they're learning to adapt to the world, rather than being a conqueror or dominator."
"We aren't a killing game. Go play Sons of the Forest or something if you want to kill."
The anti-violence stance got stronger from Subnautica 1 -> 2, which now has a complete "no kill" policy even when the fish can still kill *you*.
Pick one. It doesn’t matter what it is. Then tune out/ignore everything else and focus on that one task.
I’m not claiming it’s easy or that there is some magic method. I’m 40 now so it took decades and I still can have issues at times but as with anything, the more you practice, the easier it gets.
My wife understands my method. So when I’m doing something like washing the dishes, she might come to me and ask me to do something that only I can do or that I do better and I’ll just be like, “No no no. Ask me later” or she will take over the dishes and allow me to focus on the new task.
