If MBBS doctors argue that BAMS doctors should be restricted to practising only Ayurveda and should not be allowed to practise modern medicine, then shouldn’t the same logic apply to surgery?

As surgery has deep roots in Ayurveda?

Because of immense contribution of Lord sushruta in development of surgery, The Royal College of Surgeons honor him. True allopathic practitioners always know about what contribution Ayurveda give for advancement of medicine and surgery.

@mvbs5647 By this logic, diseases only came into existence after 19th century, right?

Before questioning Ayurveda’s contribution to surgery, learn its history. Acharya Sushruta’s work laid important foundations in surgical education and practice. Criticise with evidence, not ignorance. You should know its roots before dismissing them.

I wanted a healthy, evidence-based debate between Ayurveda and modern medicine. Sadly, only 1–2 people engaged scientifically; most responses focused on mockery, assumptions, and professional rivalry.

The objective should be better science and better patient outcomes—not winning an argument for the sake of defending a professional identity.

I never started this discussion to prove that Ayurveda is superior to modern medicine, or that modern medicine is inferior to Ayurveda. I wanted to encourage an informed conversation about their histories, evidence, limitations, and potential contributions to patient care.

@thepawanbishnoi Please, if you have access to Google, could you check who is known as the Father of Surgery?
