What Namgung feels for Mido isn’t love in a romantic sense, maybe it was there at some point or they thought that’s what they had but it’s always been partly rooted in his guilt & gratitude for being alive cuz her dad saved him. He feels like he cld never fully repay her for tht!
“even if mido loves another man? even if she leaves to be with him?”
“yeah, ill wait. she’ll come back someday. or, well, it doesn’t even matter if she doesn’t. like you said, without lee mido, im nothing”
oh my god namgoong lets get u to therapy

I kinda get a lot of diff sides of A Love Other Than Yours discourse, idk mahn maybe everything’s jst sh*tty? Mido & Namgung’s issues started way back before Sua & Taeseung were involved. There’s sm they kept buried, they’ll need to sort tht out if they ever want to try move on!
It’s free Sua always btw but the heart wants what it wants ig. I’m sorry bt Namgung has sm going on & choosing her isn’t going to magically make all tht disappear. Him & Mido are unfortunately way too deeply entangled & he needs to sort out his conflicted feelings for Mido first!

Taeseung & Mido won’t help e/o in any way either, they’re messed up too & need to confront their past. Mido trying to save everyone but herself when she needs that more than anyone. They’re trying to oversimplify things here when in fact there’s sm going on & it’s complicated!!
@d2ngcheol True, my thing is tht Mido & NG’s issue started way back, things they’d kept buried & instead of them trying to navigate tht, they added 2 other ppl into the mix & now their problem seems a lot like it has more to do with these two than their underlying issue tht started way back
Mido feels less like her own character & more like a tool to just push Namgung’s storyline idk how to describe it but she feels more like a plot device atp. I don’t think the writer knows what to do with her character anymore. This level of character assassination is maaaad!
@d2ngcheol It’s so bad mahn, I wish they’d handled her character with the complexity she comes with instead of watering her down like this. I mean even the whole thing she had going on with Taeseung now doesn’t make sense one bit, just confusing & inconsistent!!
@softstargaze Yh it kind of now looks like it was a way to set things up for Namsua idk which is fine tbh if they wanted the two tgt but I just feel like things could’ve been handled way better & differently to get to the point the show is at rn.
@softstargaze Not sure the writer knows what they’re doing tbh 😭 they introduced multiple complex characters but they’re only focusing on one while making the rest seem outright bad to justify the way they’re portraying the character they’re focusing more on (I can’t even explain it properly)
I’m sorry this was actually so embarrassing to watch 😭. Ik Mido feels responsible for a lot of things about Namgung including the fact that he let go of his love for art but this was so pathetic omg.
“give it back, its mine!”
“no, its mine. namgoong drew it so it belongs to him & since everything that belongs to him is mine, this is mine too!”
“its mine, he drew it for me!”
god what is wrong with the writers head why are they doing this to mido

And no I’m not talking about the whole kiss with Taeseung & all of that, they can include that, whatever really but even this wasn’t handled properly. It just feels like everything abt her has somehow taken a backseat & her entire storyline is being used just to glaze Namgung!
Maybe character assassination is not the right term idk but Mido has lost sm of her individuality & most of what’s bn revealed abt her seems to be for shock value or to paint Namgung in a diff light. She’s a complex character who deserves sm more care & sensitivity in her writing
