@UsesOfPISA Thats great but the way @OECD & #PISA report ranks is misleading & does not take into account things like Simpson's Paradox and selection bias or other sampling issues. In order 2 compare 2 things they must be comparable. #StatisticalSnookering ala Bracey.
We need to (belatedly) talk about PISA reporting — there were way too claims/headlines that were misleading. Suggesting that the U.S. is clearly below average when in fact American students are above average in reading science.
