Chibok, Borno State (2014): 276 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram. Multiple rescued survivors reported forced marriages, rape, and sexual slavery during captivity.

Dapchi, Yobe State (2018): 110 schoolgirls were kidnapped by Boko Haram. While most were later released, the abduction highlighted the continuing targeting of girls by terrorist groups.

Jangebe, Zamfara State (2021): 317 schoolgirls were abducted by armed bandits from the Government Girls Secondary School.

Afaka, Kaduna State (2021): Students, including female students, were abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation.

Kuriga, Kaduna State (2024): 287 pupils and students were kidnapped in a mass abduction.
