The research arm of BitMEX, a crypto derivatives firm, revealed in a recent blog post that there are over 160 crypto-related exchange-traded products (ETPs) worldwide, managing more than $50 billion in assets. These ETPs offer exposure to various tokens, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Ripple, Avalanche, and Arbitrum. Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) holds the top position among these products. The SEC is currently reviewing Grayscale's proposal to convert GBTC into a spot ETF, and other notable providers like ProShares, 21 Shares, Wisdomtree, VanEck, Fidelity, and Bitwise have their ETFs in the pipeline. According to K33 Research, investments in Bitcoin ETPs reached a record high of $7.4 billion in the previous month. As a result, market analysts anticipate that the approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF could attract significant institutional investments into the crypto market.
