Ederson who is entering his prime looks like a scheme fit GEM with the effective pressing and aggressive play style.

Andrey looks like the Mainoo replacement who has immense potential and versatility which can be MOLDED easily by Carrick who is seemingly a master role finder.

On top of us finally being in a competitive market position, I trust Carrick fully to get the most value out of anyone we bring in and have faith he will make it work. Squad BUILDING is recruitment. Squad SYNERGY is management/coaching.

That’s not to say I’m blindly trusting recruitment and expect Carrick to be successful with ANYONE but that is to say I will trust this process because so far it has been successful in that we are clearly on the right track.

But it is unfair to write players off before a few games in, let alone before a medical evaluation.
