UTA☆PRI Rarepair Week

[UTA☆PRI Rarepair Week @UtaPriRarepair]

With the polls closed and time taken to ruminate, I've come to decision.

Due to the poll only receiving 18 votes for how long the event should take place and 10 votes for the rules, I don't think there's enough interest in the event.

I'm hosting events for other fandoms and there's more reception meaning I need to keep a closer eye there to ensure rules are followed. There won't be a rarepair week this year, but there will be another interest check in 2027.

We have a little over a day left! We're still at a tie and need a tie-breaker!

[UTA☆PRI Rarepair Week @UtaPriRarepair]

Should we follow the new rules for considering what counts as a rarepair?

Regardless of what the fandom decides, I'm happy to be running this event for everyone ♥

More votes came in and oddly enough it's still at a tie.

However, since UtaPri isn't fanfic focused I'm hesitant on tightening the rules. Though, while a pairing might have only a few fics, the ship could be abundant with fanart. I can see some feeling upset and thinking "But X ship has so much art, I don't think it's a rarepair."

[UTA☆PRI Rarepair Week @UtaPriRarepair]

Based on rarepair weeks from other fandoms, we often use the OTP:True filter on AO3 and set an amount of fics to serve as the guideline for what is and isn't allowed for rarepair events.

On the left, the highlighted ships are banned using the previous years' rules. On the right would be the new banned ships with the adjusted rules.
