Following the shooting on Feb. 26, state liquor store #51 in Taylorsville does not have a confirmed reopen date. The earliest the store would open is on March 9th - but again, this is not a confirmed reopen date.

A shooting took place at State Liquor Store #51 in Taylorsville this afternoon (Feb 26). No employees were injured. DABS cares deeply about our employees and we are grateful no one was harmed. The store is closed until further notice.
New store expected to generate $1.4 million for state and local governments in its first five months of operation. DABS serves all Utahns, whether or not they drink alcohol, by helping to keep taxes low and funding services such as pubic safety, roads and transportation.
Here’s your early reminder that state liquor stores are closed on Thanksgiving. We recommend you plan your shopping ahead to avoid the last minute rush! Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁
