Spending $2,000 directly on Americans as cash relief/stimulus is not a cost. It is an INVESTMENT. Spending $2k/mo for the duration of this crisis would not be costly. The return on investment would be huge. It's not making this investment that is costly.

I refuse to normalize an anti-democratic process where a few rich, predominantly white individuals negotiate behind closed doors for most of 2020 and give the rest of us a few hours to consider the 5,593 page result of their secret negotiations.
Just a reminder that a little over a year ago @AndrewYang stood on the debate stage and proposed 1k per month as a proactive measure to the scenario that we are in and Pete and Kamala laughed in his face. Pete and Kamala are in Biden's administration, Andrew is not.
Just to recap:
1. The Fed pumped an extra $3.2 trillion into the stock market
2. As a result, stocks soared to a record high
3. So execs essentially got stock-based bonuses paid by the government
But giving money to regular people would be "too socialist"
