Us screaming, shouting and ranting like kids isn’t going to make them spend money. There was huge pressure on the club in January, they didn’t spend a penny, and we still finished in the top four.

People need to stop acting like every good decision is just luck.

These are qualified professionals. Yes, some of them came from Man City, and yes, they’ve made mistakes. But they’ve also made a lot of good decisions. Our transfer business has improved significantly. Aside from Ugarte and Zirkzee, most of the signings have been successful.

If the transfer window closes, we start the season poorly, then by all means criticise them. But at least give them the chance to finish the job first.

I’m not saying Sheikh Jassim didn’t have the money. My point is that no proof/source of funds was ever submitted according to multiple sources.

Sheikh Jassim bid £5bn for the club, while Sir Jim paid £1.25bn for a 25% stake, valuing United higher overall. That was one of the reasons the Glazers preferred INEOS, along with the fact that the deal allowed them to remain involved with the club for longer.

And if he really wanted the club he should’ve outbid INEOS.
