🇧🇷 MinerTalk: Meet the newest Miner: Augusto Cassiá joins UTEP men’s basketball and went in front of the media today 🏀

The 6-foot-8 forward brings serious experience and international flair to the Don Haskins Center. A transfer from Ole Miss (SEC) with previous stops at Butler (Big East), Cassiá has competed at the highest levels of college basketball.

Before college, Cassiá honed his game at two NBA Global Academies and gained professional experience with Corinthians in Brazil.

Now in his mid-20s, the mature, explosive forward is ready to earn more playing time. Though his playing time was limited at Ole Miss, his athleticism and basketball IQ have coaches excited about the upside he’ll bring to the Mountain West. 🔶
