My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

Had a detailed call with the deceased’s mother, sister and father. Their accounts disclose allegations of physical assault, mental and financial harassment, raising serious concerns regarding the circumstances preceding her death, including possible suicide under grave provocation/influence of her live-in partner.
Despite enquiries, the family states they have not been furnished the FIR. The concerned SI has reportedly confirmed registration and mentioned an FIR number, but the FIR itself remains unverified by the family. Transparency, preservation of evidence and an impartial investigation are imperative.

Extremely disturbing distress call today from a grieving mother who lost her daughter in Dwarka in circumstances alleged to involve suicide/foul play. The family alleges that the police officer handling the matter demanded money for the post-mortem . They further state that no statements were recorded and available evidence was not properly examined until the Chief Medical Officer intervened.

@DCPDwarka @DelhiPolice @VigilanceDelPol

Matter at Palam Police Station.

I urge senior officers to immediately intervene, preserve all evidence, examine the conduct of the officers concerned and ensure a fair, transparent investigation.A grieving family should not have to fight the system for basic justice.

Speechless with grief at the passing of Asrani ji. We had just shared the warmest of hugs just a week back at the shoot of Haiwaan. Bahot pyare insaan the…he had the most legendary comic timing. From all my cult films Hera Pheri to Bhagam Bhag to De Dana Dan, Welcome and now our unreleased Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan…I had worked and learned so much from him. What an absolute loss to our industry. God bless you Asrani Sir, for giving us a million reasons to laugh. Om Shanti 🙏

@MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar Kindly draw your attention to the mail sent today regarding Vishal Singh, a resident of Mau, Uttar Pradesh, currently stranded in Dubai due to a travel ban imposed over unpaid credit card dues. These dues were incurred fraudulently by his employers.
