This clip is from the BJP training camp held at Swami Vivekananda Mangal Bhavan, Kurud, from 22–26 March 2026, not from Independence Day.

On 15 August, Ajay Chandrakar unfurled the national flag at the official Independence Day ceremony in Dhamtari. The original date and context were removed from the post, and a completely different narrative of “disrespect to the national flag” was created.

Now the clarification may never reach the same number of people who have already seen the misleading post shared by @SupriyaShrinate.

Many Congress sympathisers may continue circulating the same video to make baseless allegations.

This is the danger of the social-media era: fake news travels at bullet-train speed, while fact-checks travel far slower. By the time the truth catches up, the sensational claim has already reached millions and influenced public perception.

And even if the post is deleted later, the damage is already done. Screenshots, reposts and clips continue circulating.

Those spreading such narratives know exactly how social media works: push a misleading claim, let it go viral, and quietly delete it later. By then, the objective has already been achieved.

That is why we must verify the context before reacting—especially when national sentiment is being used as a political weapon.
