Last week, I participated in a lively political debate staged by BBC Word Questions show to watch @MoRientalist, @BodroL, Dep Parliament Speaker Bulgantuya, @MBBontoi to answer burning questions from the public.
The radio recording is a great way to understand the inner workings of Mongolian politics and how #democracy is constantly being defended from left, right and centre.

Munkhdul Badral: Mongolia "hates" youth in politics!
My speech at the 7th Meeting of #ICAPP (International Conference of Asian Political Parties) Youth Wing in #Ulaanbaatar, #Mongolia🇲🇳 on February 24, 2024.
Statement: Mongolia "hates" youth in politics!
Arguments:
1. The elite discourages youth from even talking about "dirty" politics, let alone participate
2. Running for election is too expensive, in 2024 it's even more expensive
3. Students from outside Ulaanbaatar are not "allowed" to vote in Ulaanbaatar
4. Election campaigning season is becoming shorter and shorter, while districts are becoming bigger and bigger
5. Ruling party changed election day to a Friday in 2024, from the traditional Wednesday
6. Ruling party does not allow its candidates to take part in election debates
