Today, we celebrate the 35th anniversary of a historic step towards a shared future. The Visegrad Declaration was signed on 15 February 1991, marking the beginning of a close Central European cooperation between the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Over the past 35 years, the Visegrad Group (V4) has become an outstanding example of successful political, social, economic, cultural, and scientific collaboration.

We, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, have lived side by side for centuries, sharing culture, faith and traditions. These values continue to strengthen our communities and chart our sharedcourse into the future.

While each nation pursues its own tasks, mission, and aspirations, we also recognize that Central Europe has shared regional interests. Advancing these together fully aligns with each nation’s national priorities.

Therefore, Hungary remains firmly committed to the Visegrad Cooperation and considers it in our best interest to make it as strong and effective as possible. Yet for us to be truly successful, we must think together and share our experiences.

Today’s summit was highly successful. I thank @PellegriniP_, @Prezidentpavel, and @NawrockiKn for a forward-looking meeting held in an excellent atmosphere!

The 🇭🇺 @V4_PRES considers it essential to improve the competitiveness of our region. For this reason, the motto of the Presidency is “Competitive Visegrad”. The three pillars of the Presidency programme are:
1.      Competitiveness
2.      Security
3.      Connectivity

Today Hungary takes over the Presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4). Hungary will hold the one-year V4 Presidency for the seventh time.

Amid geopolitical uncertainty, together with 🇨🇿, 🇭🇺 and 🇸🇰 we discussed security, crises management & agriculture.

This is special year as we also celebrate 25th anniversary of IVF, a cornerstone of #V4 cooperation.

Now we pass the baton to 🇭🇺.

Na zaproszenie Prezydenta 🇵🇱 @AndrzejDuda dziś do Wisły przyjadą: Prezydent Czech 🇨🇿 @prezidentpavel, Prezydent Węgier 🇭🇺 @DrTamasSulyok oraz Prezydent Słowacji 🇸🇰@PellegriniP_.

Spotkanie rozpocznie się o godz. 13.00 od ceremonii oficjalnego powitania. Na godz. 16.20 zaplanowana jest wspólna konferencja prasowa.

Obejmująca dziś dyżur Wyszehradzka Grupa Bojowa UE liczy nieco ponad 2300 żołnierzy, z tego większość stanowią Polacy. Batalion manewrowy GBUE tworzą ponownie żołnierze 18 Bielskiego Batalionu Powietrznodesantowego @6bpd, ale siły do grupy bojowej delegują także dowództwo #6BPD oraz 6 Batalion Dowodzenia. Spadochroniarzy wspierać będą również żołnierze z innych jednostek, m. in. 2 Pułku Saperów, @12Dywizja, @IWsp_SZ, @Zandarmeria i Centrum Przygotowań do Misji Zagranicznych.

Today, Poland 🇵🇱 for the seventh time begins its one-year presidency of the Visegrád Group under the motto “V4: Back to Basics.”

The presidency programme is based on three pillars:

Today the year-long Czech 🇨🇿 Presidency of the V4 is coming to an end. In line with its motto "V4 Citizens", it focused mainly on concrete benefits for citizens and on supporting people-to-people contacts. Now we are wishing all the best to the upcoming Polish 🇵🇱 Presidency!

Dnes končí roční předsednictví Česka 🇨🇿 ve V4. Dle motta "V4 pro občany" se zaměřovalo především na konkrétní přínosy pro občany a na posilov��ní mezilidských vztahů. Nyní již přejeme hodně úspěchů nadcházejícímu polskému 🇵🇱 předsednictví!

On 20 June 2024, the NVC and @VisegradFund EM took place in #Prague. National Visegrad Coordinators and IVF experts debated main highlights of the current Czech V4 Precidency, main points of the forthcoming Polish V4 Presidency, current IVF issues and other topics. @V4_PRES

Dne 6. 6. 2024 v Praze proběhly expertní konzultace V4 na úrovni ředitelů odborů pokrývajících region západního Balkánu. Potvrdily význam západního Balkánu pro země V4 v kontextu zajištění stability a bezpečnosti Evropy a politiky rozšiřování EU.

On 6 June 2024, V4 consultations at the level of directors of departments covering the WB region took place in Prague. Debate confirmed the importance of Western Balkans for V4, in the context of ensuring the stability and security of Europe and EU enlargement.

Na @CZECHIAinEU proběhla snídaně 🇨🇿🇵🇱🇭🇺🇸🇰 velvyslanců v Coreperu II u příležitosti ukončení 🇨🇿 předsednictví ve #V4. Hovořilo se o společných tématech a akcích, které 🇨🇿 během předsednictví uspořádalo. Na závěr @EditaHrdaEU popřála hodně štěstí nadcházejícímu 🇵🇱 předsednictví!

Podpora 🇺🇦 se týká i oblasti zdraví: v rámci @V4_PRES včera zdravotní attaché 🇨🇿🇸🇰🇵🇱&🇭🇺 řešili přístup 🇺🇦uprchlíků ke zdravotní péči, jejich duševní zdraví, péči o válečné veterány či zapojení 🇺🇦 zdravotníků. Probrali i vliv životního prostředí na zdraví & roli výzkumu a inovací

The support of 🇺🇦 also applies to the field of health: in the framework of the @V4_PRES, 🇨🇿🇸🇰🇵🇱&🇭🇺health attachés #V4 addressed yesterday the access of 🇺🇦 refugees to health care, their mental health, the care for war veterans or the involvement of 🇺🇦 medical professionals.

They also tackled the impact of the environment on health & the role of research and innovation in health.

On April 29 2024, Ambassadors of #V4 met in #Helsinki with @kimmokiljunen, Chair of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament. Topics: OSCE, Russian aggression, NATO, EU enlargement and Israel-Palestine conflict as well as Finnish foreign and security policy. @V4_PRES
