@FavColour_Green Usually a combination of gapping up, laying/coppicing of whatever is necessary. Replacing a “lost” hedge would be a bit more subjective based on the timescale and whether any of it exists any more.

@SteveReedMP Heaven forbid that investors like James Dyson should buy land and create jobs in the rural economy. Big money like that will be manoeuvred into trusts anyway to mitigate IHT.
Labour has few farm votes anyway. This will reduce that further. You don’t multiply wealth by dividing it
