🚨 I think that when Jean Grey takes control of Peter's mind to keep him alive and breathing after he gets shot, she dives deep into his consciousness.

And what if that's the exact moment everything changes?

Jean isn't just reading Peter's thoughts. She's experiencing his entire life through his memories.

She sees Uncle Ben's lessons.
She feels the pain of losing Aunt May.
She witnesses every sacrifice Peter has ever made for New York.
But then she discovers something that doesn't make sense.

Two people, MJ and Ned, appear over and over again in Peter's memories. They're laughing together, fighting side by side, celebrating victories, and sharing some of the most important moments of Peter's life.

Yet when Jean looks into their minds...
Those memories are completely gone.
That's when she realizes something is wrong.

As one of Marvel's most powerful telepaths, Jean would immediately recognize that those memories weren't naturally forgotten. They were magically sealed away by Doctor Strange's spell.

And because she's viewing Peter's unaltered memories directly, she now knows exactly what was erased.

So what if, out of gratitude for Peter risking his life to save hers, Jean decides to give him something he could never give himself?

Not by rewriting reality.

Not by undoing Strange's spell for the entire world.

But by carefully restoring the memories of the two people Peter loves most.

Imagine Jean quietly entering MJ's mind first.

She places every missing memory back where it belongs.

The rooftop conversations.
The first kiss.

The final goodbye before Strange cast the spell.

Then she does the same for Ned.

Suddenly, years of friendship come rushing back all at once.

That would perfectly explain why both of them seem to recognize Peter again without Strange's spell being completely reversed. The world still forgets Peter Parker, but the two people closest to him finally remember the truth.

It also creates a fascinating balance between Doctor Strange and Jean Grey.

Strange used magic to erase memories.
Jean uses telepathy to restore them.

Neither one is necessarily stronger than the other. They're simply manipulating the mind in completely different ways.

If Marvel is really heading in this direction, it could be one of the most emotional payoffs since No Way Home.

Peter sacrificed everything to save the people he loved.

Now Jean Grey may be the one person capable of giving him that life back.

And honestly...

That would be the perfect way to end #SpiderManBrandNewDay

@nikeyspace @nuelalterego_ This is such a clean theory. The frozen tears → necklace smile progression with MJ feels deliberate, and Savage Hulk remembering Peter is the real tell. Jean Grey lowkey carrying the memory restoration plot in Brand New Day

I think Jean grey unlocked both their old memories. We saw MJ crying while frozen. Later she was on the roof holding the black dahlia necklace which was a gift from Peter and smiling. When Jean possessed Bruce what did we get? Savage hulk, not Professor Hulk and he remembered Peter too. So I think Jean grey must have helped mj get her memory back.
