Communism is the philosophy of the lazy and the jealous. It is touted by those; that have little to offer, who believe that productive people need them, and that they are important enough to make decisions that effect other people's lives.
The promises made of a communal utopia can never be fulfilled and never have been fulfilled throughout its history.
The reason is, nobody wants to carry the dead weight of society and the dead weight have no incentive to be anything more.
The slogans of "we're all in the same boat" create a myth of comradery. Truth is some of us are rowing harder while others have built new boats and the ones chanting unifying slogans are still on the beach or mooching off the rowers who are moving at a slower rate.
The true comedy is there is nothing stopping like minded communist from pooling all of their resources together and creating their utopia.
