Value‑driven horse racing analytics.
Interactive race cards, VB Ratings and live tissue‑vs‑exchange value generator tool.
Gordon Boyce, Founder of the VBG.
The Value Betting Guide is built around one principle: price the race first, then compare it to the market.
Every runner is assessed through my VB Ratings and converted into a full tissue line, creating a fair view of each horse’s chance before looking at the odds.
The race cards sit at the centre of the platform and contain this key data. They update with live exchange prices and automatically highlight where value may exist, or where it doesn’t. That clarity is key, not every race presents an opportunity.
Alongside that, the Data Centre supports the picture with additional context around suitability, pace and overall profile.
The core of what I offer is built around:
• VB Ratings
• A structured pricing methodology
• Value identification tools
• Interactive race cards
• My own daily analysis and bets
The tipping side is simply an extension of that process. The bets I put up each day are my own, based on the same ratings, pricing and value approach that underpins everything on the site and has been central to my long term punting success.
There is also a free race card available daily, allowing anyone to see the process in action.
Membership starts from £8 per month, deliberately priced to keep a disciplined, data-driven approach accessible.
This is not about chasing winners. It’s about making consistently better betting decisions over time.

Interesting approach, Simon. I wonder how the odds are likely to look come QF in terms of value for the lay side of the trade. My thought being, is a straight bet on the QF market likely to be better value than the trade? Like you, I’m all about the horses and tend to get things wrong on any football investment. As mentioned in this thread, Morocco and Japan are the two dark horses worth considering…… and seen as I’m over there for the next month for it….😀
@MCYeeehaaa The worst thing in my opinion, is them continually doubling down. Have a review, admit the stewards made a mistake and we can all move on, @BHAStewards

Well done to @olibellracing and @itvracing for the feature with We Power On during the Derby Coverage. One of the best segments I’ve seen in a while. Racing has a way to be a positive force in tackling mental health issues. Too often we are hammered with it being a negative pastime these days.

Derby Day is here and today's VB Bets, interactive race cards and live VB Ratings are all out now for members.
There's a busy list of 12 official VB Bets today, but neither The Dash nor The Derby make the cut. I always stick rigidly to the process and only races that qualify become VB Bets.
That said, I've had a proper look at both races and have played a small each-way double:
• Lexington Blitz (13/2) - The Dash
• Bay Of Brilliance (14/1) - The Derby
Lexington Blitz arrives in the form of his life after a career-best win at Goodwood and his strong-travelling style looks tailor-made for Epsom's unique 5f test.
Bay Of Brilliance shaped like a colt with plenty more to come when narrowly denied in the Lingfield Derby Trial, staying on strongly over an extended 1m3f. The extra yardage and his pedigree suggest today's trip could bring further improvement in what seems an open enough renewal of the nig race.

VBG - Free Race Card | 4.40 Epsom
I've made Allegresse the selection in today's free race currently around 13/2.
He looked a useful prospect when winning twice as a juvenile and his reappearance over a mile at Goodwood always had the feel of a prep run after seven months off. Back up to 1m2f today, with his pedigree strongly suggesting this trip will suit, there's every chance we see a fair bit more from him.
On the ratings he comes out top, he earns a Value Score of 5, and Oisin Murphy takes the ride for Andrew Balding. In a competitive Class 2 handicap, he looks to have plenty in his favour.
The full interactive race card, including VB Ratings and live Value Scores, is available free today. Link in the comments.
The Derby Festival is underway and today's VB Bets are now live for members.
Alongside the daily selections, members get full access to our unique data-driven race cards, complete VB Ratings for every runner and live Value Scores that update through the day to highlight where the market may be underestimating a horse's chance.
If you'd like to see how the process works, there's a free 7-day trial available, with memberships from the equivalent of around £8 per month if you decide to stay after that.

Free Race Card on the VBG Today
5.15 Epsom - Greek Mythology
Three starts, three solid efforts and still looks a colt with more to come. He stepped up again when placed in Listed company at Naas and shapes as though this sort of test will suit him well.
Our VB Ratings and live Value Scores make him one of the standout plays on the card this morning, with around 5/1 still available at the time of writing.

Gambling is a central part of the human condition. Always has been and always will be. The current pantomime regarding horse race betting is loaded, political and agenda driven. As we all know and see, it is in danger of ruining the sport we love.
That should be the only story in town for the RP, not this pish.
Cannot stand the RP since it gave up the ghost fighting for punters and turned into an overpriced affiliate scheme.
Today's VBG free race card is the 15:51 at Hamilton, where I'm siding with Theoryofeverything at around 6/1.
The selection comes from the same process I use across all of my daily VB Bets, combining form analysis with my own VB Ratings and Value Scores to identify horses that I believe the market may have underestimated.
You can view the full free racecard and see exactly how the ratings and value approach works, with a 7-day free trial available on the website. Members receive my full daily VB Bets and Previews, plus access to the interactive racecards featuring live Value Scores and VB Ratings for every horse in every race.
Good luck if you're having a play. Link to card in comments.
Yup. Summer jumps isn’t my bag at all. Shug covers that for the VBG. He’s a jumps man through and through and has connections at Lucinda’s yard up this way. I’ve always focussed my betting on the flat, which has its own moments of frustration from time to time too of course. But the numbers work better for me on that front😀
Our jumps expert Shug Pearce's National Hunt preview is now live for members on the website today.
His NB is Arctic Voyage at odds of around 10/3 in the 4.30 Newton Abbot.
He's won both completed starts since joining his current yard, travelled and jumped with increasing authority on both occasions, and has looked a horse with more to offer than the bare form suggests.
Handicap company asks a tougher question, but he's arriving with momentum and the profile of one still heading in the right direction.

Another look, 19:42 Ripon
Earlier today I sided with Fortamour and this looks exactly the sort of race worth revisiting as the market settles.
The ratings are fixed.
The value picture isn't.
Magic Boy still catches the eye at the prices and Glory Hyde has obvious claims after a recent success, but Fortamour remains particularly interesting because the market is still underestimating a horse with an exceptional record under these exact conditions.
Worth keeping an eye on the live value scores on our interactive race card and seeing whether the market has shifted the value picture.

@tomheadden Hate to see that kinda shit. Not one for piling onto jockeys especially on here, but that is perhaps the single most frustrating thing to see in a race!
VBG Daily Free Interactive Race Card with VB Ratings, Tissue Odds and Live Value Scores
19:42 Ripon - Fortamour is today's free race selection at morning odds of around 3/1.
Few horses in training know a track quite as well as Fortamour knows Ripon. A six-time course-and-distance winner, he showed plenty of signs that another success may not be far away when narrowly denied here on his latest start, pulling clear with the winner and looking very much back to form.
The numbers strengthen the case. He sits clear at the top of my VB Ratings, carries a maximum Value Score of 5 and my tissue makes him considerably shorter than the current market.
Glory Hyde arrives in good form and Magic Boy is one of the more interesting value alternatives, but Fortamour looks the one to side with in a slight drop in class.
