Yesterday I shared that I powerlift competitively and people were so surprised. It’s such an integral part of who I am and there’s actually a whole community that does! That being said, enjoy my recent 167.5kg/370lb deadlift. Yes, my back is okay 🤣 #ARM23#scientistswholift
Thank you @AcademyHealth#IRGNI#EDL for the opportunity to share my research interests. Food insecurity is a small window to other experienced maternal inequities that impact pregnancy and health outcomes. My one take away: we need to start meeting people where they are #ARM23
Congratulations to Portia Zaire from THE Ohio State University on her recognition as the Policy and Politics in Nursing fellow for @AcademyHealth Great work! #ARM23
Blessed this Saturday to hear the morning word from @mclemoremr. While reimagining is fun, we can’t stay there too long. And my personal favorite, “say what you mean and mean what you say”. @AcademyHealth#ARM23
My neighbor is a new grad being bullied during fellowship and instead of remediation her nurse educator is suggesting she resign. This is post pandemic nursing… You want to know why new nurses are leaving the profession? They’re being told to!
What a special honor to share during #Nurses_Week2023 I am so incredibly honored to be recognized as a Rising Star amongst a group of well established and accomplished people in healthcare. Thank you #SchnepsMedia for this experience (and even thinking of me) #NurseTwitter#NYP
As a labor nurse, I am so deeply offended by this. “…birth plans interfere with professional autonomy”. OUR professional autonomy has no position when it comes to the birthing space and preferences. A “difference in opinion” is not ours to tell, we’re not the ones delivering.
Photos from the Promoting Health Equity Through Nursing Science: Pathways and Partnerships conference in Washington DC! This successful inaugural conference was the first of many to come from Howard University and NYU Meyers. The conference was sponsored by Baxter.
