It’s been one week since we wrapped Homecoming! Such a great lineup of festivities. Thank you ASB for organizing a fun week!

[Village Christian School @VCSCrusaders]

Yesterday, our second graders spent the day serving at Children’s Hunger Fund and experiencing their Poverty Encounter exhibit!

[Village Christian School @VCSCrusaders]

Over the weekend, as part of this year’s Homecoming festivities, we were blessed to host a brand-new event on campus just for our alumni! This special “Welcome Home, Alumni” gathering was such a wonderful time to reconnect with members of graduating classes from across the decades.

We were blessed to have VCS luminaries, such as Mr. Lagasse, Mr. Endacott, Mrs. Parker, Mr. Frost, Mrs. Enterline, Mrs. Mikels, Mr. Schnobrich, and members of our current Admin on hand to greet everyone, hand out Village swag and treats, give tours, and more. PLUS, there was delicious coffee and lemonade from alumni family-owned @herbhousecoffee franchised truck and ice cream from the Thrifty truck.

Thank you to the Classes of 1986/87 and 2016 for incorporating this fun event into your reunion weekend! We can’t wait for next year!

Nonfire. Tomorrow. CAN’T WAIT!

[Village Christian School @VCSCrusaders]

Students in Mr. Barrick’s first-grade class have the opportunity to earn special tickets every day for making good choices, such as being kind, following directions, working hard, helping others, and being a good classroom citizen. On Friday, two awesome students – Natalie and Amara – got to cash in those hard-earned tickets for the grand prize – the chance to pie their teacher!

SAID MR. BARRICK:
“I want my students to know that making good choices matters, but I also want our classroom to be a place where working hard, being kind, and doing the right thing can be celebrated with a lot of joy and a little silliness. If that means taking a pie to the face every once in a while, I’m happy to do it!”

So thankful for a wonderful few days with our amazing sixth graders at Hume SoCal!

[Village Christian School @VCSCrusaders]

Great feature from @CBSLosAngeles on the “Sock it to the Mission” sock drive for @hopethemission, and the way helping the community has inspired students like eighth grader Isaiah Palmer!

[Village Christian School @VCSCrusaders]

An amazing full day at the Sixth Grade Retreat!

SAID SPIRITUAL LIFE DIRECTOR DJ JENKINS:
“Today, the sixth grade class had a wonderful day of chapels, activities, and connection. They learned from Pastor Treat about how Jesus is Friend and Jesus is Savior. They competed in their Houses across tons of games and finished the night with a wacky-tacky dance party. And they shared by the campfire all that God had been teaching them. Pray for our final day tomorrow and trip home!”

The Sixth Grade Retreat has begun! The group arrived safely to Hume SoCal today, and it’s already been a special time!

SAID SPIRITUAL LIFE DIRECTOR DJ JENKINS:
“Today, the sixth grade class began their ‘Journey With Jesus’ themed retreat in the San Bernardino Mountains. They experienced a day of fun, games, and reflection together with Pastor Jeremy Treat and their teacher chaperones. Pray for their full day tomorrow as they continue together in this beautiful place.”
