Tonight, was the Volusia County Growth Management Outreach Event, @McInnis_VCS, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Special thanks to the DeLeon Springs Community Association, and President Amy Munizzi, for being there to meet with the families and residents, alongside our Volusia County staff.

Earlier this week, VCS celebrated the groundbreaking of the new @OCRoadrunners! Originally constructed in 1878, the school will be rebuilt at its current location and is projected to open at the start of the 2025 school year.

🎉✨ Join us in celebrating Fidha Chowdhury, a senior at @delandbulldogs, who has been recognized as the Outstanding Student Volunteer for both our district and the entire state of Florida!

Yesterday, during her science class field trip, Fidha was surprised by @SuptBalgobinVCS, School Board Chair Jamie M. Haynes, her Principal Mr. Degirolmo, and her father, who came together to recognize her incredible achievements.

Fidha's impact reaches far and wide, from her commitment to tutoring students in chemistry to her initiatives promoting mental health awareness and inclusivity. Congratulations, Fidha, on this well-deserved honor!
