Thomas Müller: "I cannot believe and understand how England approached this game after they're leading. I cannot understand how they invited Argentina to play one cross after the other in perfect crossing positions"
Press Statement: I have been informed of the continued detention of Al Amin Sanusi Maikudi (the younger brother of Ibrahim Sanusi Modibbo, @Mod33333), a young medical doctor who was reportedly arrested after participating in a humanitarian outreach focused on promoting menstrual hygiene among young girls in Kaduna Polytechnic and Kaduna State University. Dr. Al Amin recently graduated from Kaduna State University, KASU and is an asset to the community excellent people of Kaduna North Federal Constituency.
This unfortunate development has also disrupted a humanitarian initiative intended to provide menstrual hygiene support to many young girls across Kaduna. It is deeply unfortunate that a programme designed to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable girls has been hampered in this manner. Playing politics with the welfare of young girls is unacceptable and should be condemned by all well-meaning Nigerians.
Every Nigerian, regardless of the circumstances, is entitled to the protections guaranteed by the Constitution. I therefore call on the relevant authorities to respect his fundamental human rights, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that due process is followed without exception.
If there is a lawful basis for his detention, it should be made clear and handled in accordance with the law. If not, he should be released immediately. The protection of human rights is not optional, it is a constitutional obligation. Justice must always prevail over arbitrariness.
Signed
Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai

A @Crystals_MDPI study shows that cutinase consists of a rigid core and a flexible active site, which confer heat resistance and presents plastic degradation mechanisms, helping address plastic waste problem.
What has unfolded in Minneapolis this past month betrays our most basic values as Americans. We are not a nation that guns down our citizens in the street. We are not a nation that allows our citizens to be brutalized for exercising their constitutional rights. We are not a nation that tramples the 4th Amendment and tolerates our neighbors being terrorized. The people of Minnesota have stood strong — helping community members in unimaginable circumstances, speaking out against injustice when they see it, and holding our government accountable to the people. Minnesotans have reminded us all what it is to be American, and they have suffered enough at the hands of this Administration. Violence and terror have no place in the United States of America, especially when it’s our own government targeting American citizens.
No single person can destroy what America stands for and believes in, not even a President, if we — all of America — stand up and speak out. We know who we are. It's time to show the world. More importantly, it's time to show ourselves.
Now, justice requires full, fair, and transparent investigations into the deaths of the two Americans who lost their lives in the city they called home. Jill and I are sending strength to the families and communities who love Alex Pretti and Renee Good as we all mourn their senseless deaths.
From @TheAthleticFC: Argentina produced another stunning comeback as they broke English hearts to reach a second successive World Cup final. Argentina will face Spain in Sunday’s final. https://t.co/bttvzD64NX
