The timing was absolutely massive for Guns N' Roses—Appetite for Destruction had just hit the number one spot on the charts that August, over a year after it came out. Axl is leaning on a denim vest decked out with a Rolling Stone logo and a big patch for the Cathouse, the legendary Hollywood club where the band basically lived in the early days
